Heart2Heart featured Backyard Gardens last September 12, 2009 and Bambi’s was part of it.  But then Bambi sent me more photos from her garden in Bacolod!  Wow, she must have a big garden and is very lucky to have Jojo ( I call him Alexie ), a hard working and patient fiancé who helps her take care of her garden.   Thanks Bambi for sharing your photos and I really admire you….  Next time, we should feature the great cooking that you do with all these herbs!  

Jojo is very happy for his hardwork truly paid off! Jojo painstakenly wakes up at 5am daily to water all the plants in the garden, prune, cut, and replant, mixes his soil and seeds, and when he comes home from work he waters them all again!!!!!! I only buy the seeds and the seedlings and point to Jojo and Jay my wonderful Baptist gardener where to put all the seedlings!!!!! hahaha my manicured nails might get dirty and might loose its beauty so thats the bonus of being a girl!” :-)

My Dad collects life size figurines of movie characters in his home theater.  We call them “CREATURES!”

The kids are into skateboarding/longboarding nowadays that even in Australia they went to a skatepark!  Papa was patient enough to take them.  It is around 30 minutes from the city center of Sydney.  I wish they had something like this in our country so the kids can enjoy in a controlled environment.  I get worried about safety in the streets

Javs and I were so happy to have had the chance to visit Tita Nena in her Subic house and as usual we love her country house.  She was busy fixing her house and preparing it for her kids and grandkids who come over to visit.  We were amazed at her collection of magazines and books which was in almost every shelf in the house.  She told us she collects then and reads them over and over again.  As usual, they are neatly organized and for sure chronologically arranged. It is so nice to see what people collect and know their interests

Have you ever wondered what the Ex-Senator has been doing lately?  

  

We were so surprised to discover his new found hobby and passion.  GARDENS!  The highlight of which was the English Garden in front of his house. I have never seen any like it in Manila.  It was so beautiful with all the flowers.  Tito Serge researched and worked very hard to create this garden.  Majority of us probably appreciate gardens but we normally just hire landscapers to do it.  But Tito Serge is different, he really chose each flower and plant and designed all his gardens himself.  Amazing!!

Tito Serge showed me all his books on gardening.  He has 45 books! I was so amused because he was so excited to show his books.  I overheard him saying that his gardens are his therapy.  He feels relaxed whenever he looks at his gardens.

Heart2Heart is honored to feature Autohaus BMW and its owner, Eymard. The exhibit was amazing…too bad Heart2Heart did not get to meet the owners of these BMWs.  When men have hobbies, they put so much passion and soul into it and you can see it in their “toys”!- whether it be a car, a watch, a bike, a computer or some gadget.
