Taking you behind the scenes of that sumptuos lunch……Lucille is a serious chef which is why she has two kitchens.  Her regular kitchen…..

……….and her “serious” kitchen where she does all her ”serious” cooking and baking.

For now she does it as a hobby but maybe later on she would like to conduct cooking classes for some friends. What a beautiful kitchen!

With Lucille’s permission, Heart2Heart is also featuring her beautiful home.  It is a five year old home designed by Maja Olivares-Co.  The house is classic and timeless.  Everything was in order and very clean. It is a three storey house with an attic.   Lucille showed me her collection of paintings- Isabel Diaz being one of her favorites -  and many of the beautiful things she bought from Rustan’s while we were still officemates around 15 years ago - framed Cartier scarves, Tiffany dinnerware, Tiffany ginger urn and an MMA ( Metropolitan Museum of Arts) vase.  I particularly like the fact that she has an altar with a beautiful Mother in Child made out of ivory tusk in the middle of the rooms.   The Christmas decors were elegantly done by Rustan’s flower shop.  No wonder Lucille worked in Rustan’s…she loves Rustan’s just like me :-)

A House from a Fairy Tale

There is this beautiful house in Baguio which we pass by all the time. The land is nice because it is flat and it is surrounded by tall trees.  In the center is a beautiful lawn and driveway.  This house looks like a house from a storybook. For many years it has been there and for a time they had a sign  saying that it was not for sale, probably because they have received inquiries from many people.  One day, I will try to enter and visit the inside of the house and to meet the owners….anyway, we are neighbors :-)

I visited Tita Monique one afternoon to do a photo shoot for Town and Country.  She took my photo and I took photos of her house.  With her permission, here are some photos of her beautiful living room which she designed herself.  Being a photographer, you will notice many of her photos on the wall.

I visited one Saturday afternoon…….Another house to admire as they both did the interiors themselves.  They are very artistic!!! Not only is the house done well, but there is something about the house…..it is very peaceful and it had a very relaxing atmosphere.  All the drapes were tied because it was raining that afternoon, the wind was cool, it was quiet, and that feeling of peace was really nice.  It was such a nice ambience just hanging out there….I guess when a house is filled with love… it shows…….

ELEGANT and BEAUTIFUL! Beautiful living room…This is proof of UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES!! as long as you are creative and always look out of the box…..I could never imagine a living room this high and yet it exists. The lighting all around the house, inside and out, is done really well. Beautiful works of art….and there is more. Hope to be able to take photos of the other rooms when it is completely finished.

Housewarming by Ronnie and Lau

No wonder Ronnie and Lau enjoy lounging in their new home. It’s like you are not in the city but some beautiful resort in Bali. The personalized touches are the many antique pieces which the couple bought on their many trips to Asia. Thank you to Ronnie and Lau for hosting us in your beautiful house. We wish you more love and happiness together!!

Manoling and Sandie

As always, a warm reception by Manoling and Sandie. I always tell them that their house looks like a museum and indeed it is because aside from looking like one, inside are many beautiful works of art.
With their permission, sharing with you their beautiful home by Ed Calma and the friends we had dinner with….
