It has been a year since the Gothia Cup….
Thanks to my Dad for capturing the moments. I took the photos and he took the video. Though I use photos to capture moments, a video is the closest you can get to real life. Not only did he capture it on video, he worked on editing it and coming up with a short film which he produced. Just like a director, my dad really studies how he will make the film- the effects, the music which he chooses from his favorites, the sequence of events, the captions, and the overall content of the film. And I like his style! I am sure many of you too will. I wish I could have my Dad with me in every event to capture the moments and make the video. But obviously, his films are all works of love - it took him a year to finish this video and I can say that it is worth it because aside from the memory of being there last year and witnessing the event, I can watch this film a million times and will always have tears of joy watching a great moment in my son’s life.
It’s a box office hit! PRICELESS!
Thanks Dad and Mom for even convincing us to go to Gothia - we realized later on that Jaime needed the moral support during the games and hopefully because of that he will always remember that we will always be there for him to support him….anywhere in the world!

The Manila Soccer Academy ( MSA ) had their culminating activity to end this year’s first module for the summer. There will be a new module which starts June 9 to August 1.
Maxi and Maricel organize and head MSA. They are there everyday to supervise the classes.

Stefano is the son of Maxi and Maricel and the classmate of Jaime. This kid always amazes me. That day he was acting as coach for Javier’s team. I was listening to him and he was telling the kids not to blame the goalie and that everyone has to work as a team.

It was a nice morning at the Beacon Family Field Day…. Families getting together to play sports with their kids
The 3 houses - Narra, Molave and Acacia
Headmaster Mr. Kay and everyone saying the oath
The kids…..
With their parents…….
The games…..
More parents….

Congratulations to Ton Concepcion for a successful race! We need more people like Ton who can help make our world a better place. An idea or a desire to help is more meaningful when it becomes a reality and action is taken to implement and achieve that desire. It takes a lot of guts and a lot of hard work to organize an event, and you lead it and you made it all happen!
The race was successful because:
1.) You were able to raise funds to preserve our environment, to save Tubbataha reef
2.) The event created awareness of a beautiful place, nature, and in our very own country
3.) You created a wholesome atmosphere for kids to enjoy and at the same time learn and help save their environment in their small little way. Even pregnant women walked the race…It was a race that everyone who wanted to support the cause could join.
4.) Thousands of people supported and joined the race
5.) And everyone enjoyed!!!
Looking forward to the next race in 2009!

All out support from the family of Ton, including his dog who also ran the race! Heart2Heart’s favorite participant!
and FRIENDS!!!

The race started promptly at 6 am…..The 10k runners started first, followed by the 5 k then the 3k.

Loved these fish characters in the race!

Congratulations to Vina, Margie and their team for organizing a badminton tournament for their batch. You guys are really STILL SMASHING!!! as smashing and even more sexy then you were when we were sister classes in “Kapatiran” in highschool….and that was 20 years ago!

From Vina:
“This was our first Assumption Batch 1984 fund-raising. It was a success due to the support I got from my classmates and friends.
Again, thank you thank you for all the encouragement and support you gave me. I was deeply touched you all believed in me.”

Sorry I could not stay the whole day for the tournament so I was able to take only a few shots in the morning, then the rest of the photos I had to get from Vina.

and the giveaway from Rustan’s Essenses and Beauty Bar! Wow!!
Since Miguel was twelve years old, he was already treating his family and friends. He did not learn his practice from school, though he did graduate from De La Salle University where he took up Biology as his pre Med.
His technique is self taught……He does not prescribe any medicines, all his treatments are done with his hands. That for me is magical healing powers. He not only invented it, he even named it. Miguel calls it Myovasotherapy. ”Myo”means muscle and “vaso” means the circulatory system.
( Painting made by Miguel’s Mom hanging on his wall- also the family tree of Miguel )He deals with nerves, tendons, ligaments - He treats pains from sports or occupational injuries that occur in all soft tissues- golf elbow, migraines, pulled muscles, Sciatica, Stiff necks, Sprains, Tennis elbow, Tendonitis, TMJD (tempomandibularjoint disorder), Torn Rotator cuffs, frozen shoulders and others but I heard from Vina and Lisa that some girls at the badminton court have themselves treated even if they have no injury…. I wonder why? :-)

His clinic reminds me of a spa and I like it so much because it is not intimidating, it gives the patient a more relaxed atmosphere….
The true test that his healing powers work is that he is always fully booked.
