Touring Bohol

By | Travel | 6 Comments

We went to Bohol over the weekend and did the tour that everyone takes.

I was wondering why during my inquiries among friends and family about Bohol tours, no one ever mentioned the man made forest full of mahogany trees planted by the boy scouts in 1956.  This was my favorite among all.  It was beautiful just driving through it and standing in the middle of all the tall trees.   Something maybe you will see abroad but something I have not seen in the Philippines ever yet.

My sister had a great idea for our mom’s birthday.  She told me to go buy some cupcakes..so i went to Gonuts Donuts to buy some.  They had many fancy designs.

Instead of the traditional birthday cake, each of us made our wishes for Mom and gave a cupcake to her to blow.  It was a nice and unique way to greet her…..

Lush Christmas 2007

CHRISTMAS UNWRAPPED!

You can’t beat Lush for Christmas gifts.  Not only are we offering this completely green gift option, but we still have our amazing array of festive gifts that are all wrapped up, ready and waiting to give to that lucky person.  And this year, all the Christmas gifts are lovingly wrapped with 100% recycled paper and the majority are tied prettily with recycled paper ribbons.  They’re even filled with recycled shredded paper.  Now this has many environmental benefits, mainly that it’s a ‘clean’ filler, which means we don’t have to wrap each individual product in plastic bags, we can pack them naked (where appropriate), resulting in the saving of 4.6 million plastic bags annually.  Not bad, hey?

I’M DREAMING OF A GREEN CHRISTMAS

If you think about it, Christmas really is an excessive time of the year.  It’s all about overindulgence and extravagance.  Here at Lush we’re all for a little bit of over-indulgence, but we do it in a way that’s kinder to the environment.  This Christmas, there’s a whole raft of individual treats and stocking fillers, along with luxury gift options, that are freshly handmade and contain environmental and animal friendly products. And there’s no excess packaging with Lush, as the majority of our little festive gems are solid, which allows for minimal use of preservatives and packaging.  Lush also don’t believe in using animals to test product safety, nor buy any ingredients from any supplier/manufacturer that tests anything they produce on animals. So check out Lush’s seasonal offerings below and be safe in the knowledge that you’re helping the planet as well as spoiling yourself, and your loved ones, rotten!

BLING CROSBY & BOB SOAP – BACK FOR ONE MORE SEASON! Back by popular demand, these show-stopping performers are the epitome of festive fun and merriment.  As with everything Lush, each is handmade fresh using the most wonderfully uplifting blends of warming, tonic essential oils to bring cheer to the dark winter nights along with skin softening and toning butters, oils, herbs, clays – the best Mother Nature has to offer.   Remind yourself of the all-star line up …  Lush is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI). Lush boutiques are located at Glorietta 4, Power Plant Mall, Shangri-La Mall, Greenbelt 3, Mall of Asia, and Bonifacio High Street. Dinner by Kai

By | Foodie | No Comments

This is our second meal catered by Kai and we were very much satisfied.  The service was excellent and the food was very good.  All this for around P 700.00 ( not including the beef but they provided the stone cooker).  I think it is very reasonable for what we had and the portions were overflowing. There were leftovers which we got to keep.   We were a party of 13 adults and 4 children so I guess there was no minimum.  I whispered to my Mom that it is even less costly than eating in Kai itself and you get to have it in your own private venue 🙂  So try them!
