Raisin Bread

By | Recipes, Yummy! | 2 Comments

Probably everyone who went to Baguio has bought their raisin bread- the ever popular raisin bread from Baguio Country Club.  My friend, Michele, taught me another way to eat raisin bread.  She says that she slices the bread thinly, spreads some butter and sprinkles sugar on top. Then toast it!  YUMMY!!!!!

I also discovered a different kind of raisin bread made by my friend, Lucille. It is different from the Baguio Country Club raisin bread because her version has fruits in it.  The twisted/braided shape is unique as well.  The problem is she does not sell them and you can only get one if she bakes one for you, good thing I am her friend 🙂

MAP Toy Run

By | Educare, Giving Back | One Comment

For 3 straight years, EDUCARE ( Jaric Foundation Inc. ) helped organize the MAP ( Motorcycle Advocates of the Philippines )  TOY RUN.  Motorcyclists set aside a day to give their time and to share some toys with the UNICEF children.  The event starts of with a motorcade by many motorcycle groups and leading the pack is Santa himself on a motorcycle too.  The riders drop off the toys in a bin and serve as an entrance to the event.  The kids enjoy the games, rides, entertainment and food.  The toys and loot bags are later on distributed to the children.  Thank you to all the generous sponsors who made the events a success!!

Heart2Heart would like to pay tribute to MAP and to all the motorcyclists who made hundreds of children happy during the Christmas Season.

This is how we celebrate Christmas dinner ( Dec. 24 ) every year with James’ family…. Thanks to Tina for always hosting and preparing everything.  We normally have picture taking, then dinner and the most awaited opening of gifts by the kids.  This is our first Christmas without Mom, we miss her, but she is always with us in spirit.

Christmas Trees reflect the personalities of the people who own and decorate them. It is so nice to see many different colors and themes.  Hopefully Heart2Heart can capture more Christmas trees next Christmas.

Christmas Brunch

By | Christmas, Foodie | 3 Comments

My Mom really takes time out to prepare for her friends and family.  She is the best host and I really idolize her.  She prepared breakfast for her Simbang Gabi group on the last day and we requested for her to extend her breakfast to brunch so we could also enjoy what they had………

The juices became three kinds of fresh juices- melon, kiwi and orange.  What an idea and Mom suggested we mix them all into one juice – three seasons….

Everyone probably knows the famous dancing cop….. he stands by the intersection of Mc Kinley Parkway and 5th Avenue as you enter the Fort.  Heart2Heart was able to take a few photos of him a few months ago….and is paying tribute to him for inspiring many to find joy in whatever job you are doing at the same time making people happy.  Anyone who makes people smile has to be part of  Heart2Heart.
