Developed by F J Benjamin and launched in Singapore in year 2002, RAOUL is undoubtedly one of the fastest-growing fashion brands in Asia. Introduced as a men’s shirt brand it soon made a name for itself in the competitive menswear market with boutiques mushrooming across the region. The brand quickly evolved to include a women’s line in 2005 along with a comprehensive collection of leather goods and accessories.

Exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., RAOUL ushers in the latest collection for Fall Winter 2009, and brings with it its effortless style alongside a palette that has set it apart season after season.

RAOUL Ladies

Classic and whimsical, this woman is spontaneous. She wants to be taken seriously, wants to seduce and be pampered all at once. This is the RAOUL ladies Fall-Winter 2009 collection – expressing sophisticated fashion sense with a bohemian twist. The collection exudes a rich Parisian attitude, and tribute was made to YSL with a swanky tweed pantsuit.

Rich colors, paisley and jewel prints, lace and fur dominate the collection. Vintage “hippie” looks entwined with modern style and high fashion result in a collection of revamped classic looks with seasonless designs. The lady charms with evening wear that is effortlessly put together with modern relevance.

RAOUL’s signature shirts and shirt dresses are reworked in printed silk chiffons and satins, as well as metallic coated lace. Distinctive details are added, such as bold collars, pleats on sleeves and ribbon-tied cuffs that accentuate feminine flair. Uniquely printed chiffon blouses give a relaxed feel and express individualism and fashion forwardness. The 80’s inspired shoulders add sculpture to dresses and jackets.

To establish the look of elegance, rich and luxurious furs, tweed and boucle fabrications such as silk chiffon and satin, liquid jersey, and metallic coated lace are used together with the colors of terracotta, plum, purple, teal and navy – anchored by brown, grey and black. Eye-catching accessories come in the form of black, white and transparent Resin bangles, Swarovski pearls and diamante necklaces, open-toe heels with ruffles, T-bar wedges, pumps with leather pleats and “Royalty” bags in calfskin, lasered leather-lace and chain embellishments.


Drawn from the decade of the bigger and bolder, the 80’s was the inspiration for RAOUL Men this season. The mood is strong and emphasis is given to the shoulders with details such as pleats, folds and extra fabrication to create the distinctive look. Shirts are tapered at the waist for a fitter profile. Colors are rich and bold – purple, ink blue, maroon with black and grey. Paisley print is the key pattern.

RAOUL suits are offered in the collection for the first time. Merino-wool is used for the luxe factor and is reflective of the opulent decade when power suits and jackets were the key items to complete every outfit
