Jaime wanted to eat korean food so we decided to drive down the boardwalk to look for one and this was what we saw.  The restaurant of the Bayfront Hotel

img_6841.JPG

Don’t expect much in terms of ambience

img_6842.JPGimg_6843.jpgimg_6844.jpgimg_6845.jpgimg_6846.jpgimg_6847.jpgimg_6847.jpgimg_6848.jpg

It’s a different kind of Korean resaturant-

They don’t give you the usual barbeque sauce but only this sauce which is sesame oil with salt and pepper

img_6856.JPG

 Bulgogi

img_6859.JPG

with chapchae noodles, something different too

img_6862.JPG

of course lettuce to wrap

img_6865.JPG

They serve the grill dishes with onion and potato

img_6867.JPG

An unusual griller and they use butter

img_6874.JPGimg_6876.JPG

Pork, if you like pork

img_6880.JPG

Chadolbagey which they call chadolpakle – this is the back part of the beef – we liked this!!

Bonding Indoors in Subic

By | Travel | 2 Comments

We always love going to Subic

img_6965.JPG

This trip was a stormy weekend and when normally Subic is good for outdoor activities and Mom was so excited to take the kids to Ocean Adventure and Zoobic,  We were forced to stay indoors and do indoor things………..We don’t really have to go out to have fun!

Of course, we all brought our computers and everyone would go back and forth to this table 🙂

img_6910.JPGimg_6890.JPGimg_6914.JPG

The family that snacks together, stays together

img_6911.JPG

Mom has a cooler for the chocolates 🙂

img_6912.JPG

Hanging out in the living room and eating and chatting 🙂

img_6901.JPG

The smaller kids have their own living room.  Those are dad’s collection of laser discs, VHS tapes and armor 🙂

img_6981.JPG

Dad and Mom like the kids to sleep with them so they are surrounded by the grandkids

And he is always showing and giving Lola Ludette his creations.  He values her opinion since Lola Ludette is a chef herself

img_6963.JPG

Mom brought Jane with us for massage!!!!!!! THE BEST!! I think Jane enjoys coming along too because she gets to go out of town so she goes with us when she can like in Baguio and now in Subic.  Jane is so good.  She charges P 400.00 per hour.  She is the family masahista in Manila.  When she comes with us, she gets paid her normal rate but because we are plenty in the family, she does not really lose out by going out of town.  In case, you can contact her:  0918-5319093

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa Subic Bay

By | Accomodations, Travel | No Comments

I heard about this place from my friend, Des.  So we went to check out the place.  It’s around 17 km. away from the center of Subic and near the other outdoor activities like Ocean Adventure, Zoobic and on the way to Anvaya Cove.  Since it was storming, there was hardly anyone out but the place was fully booked with 48 rooms. We liked the Casitas on top of the beach shore

Bringing Along My Comforter and Pillows

By | Household Tips, Travel | One Comment

Everytime we go on out of town trips, if I can bring with me my comforter and pillows, I take them along with me.  It helps me adjust and be more comfortable in a bed that is not our usual

I love this big fabric chest that my cousin, Ana, gave me a few years back.  I use it to store my extra comforter and when we are going to travel, I just pull it out and bring it along in the car.  I love it!  I need one more for my pillows,  for now they go into a disposable garbage bag 🙂comforter.JPG
