Abaca Group

By | Foodie, Travel | One Comment

We went to Cebu only for the day for an important occasion.  So I planned the day in a way that I can visit a few of the places I have been hearing about and one of them was Beqaa which is Lebanese cuisine.

We went to Design Center where it was located and it is apparently a building owned by the Focus Global group where all their showrooms are located – Tempur, Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele, Siematic etc etc.  The guard was so strict, he did not allow me to take a photo of the building so I took this only

but they have a photo in their Facebook page so here it is:

On the 2nd floor is the restaurant and it was closed for lunch 🙁  The open only for dinner.  I did not know that many restaurants are closed for lunch in Cebu.  I was feeling so bad 🙁  But never mind, it’s something to look forward to the next time

This Abaca group is amazing.  All their concepts are all popular.

Happiness and Satisfaction Comes from Having No Expectations

By | Today's Quote | One Comment

Happiness and satisfaction comes from having no expectations

Many people complain or are unhappy when they meet someone, or get a particular product, food or service that they got.  Could it be that before hand they had some expectations that were not met?  Imagine not having any expectations and feeling happy receiving whatever blessing came your way 🙂

I sometimes get comments about Heart2Heart for recommending a place and they end up going and not liking it.  Firstly, each and everyone has their own personal and unique taste.  I like cheese, James likes chocolate.  Jaime likes spicy, I cannot eat spicy.  They get mad at me for liking a one michelin star chef – but they came in expecting a three star michelin chef – how can you be happy? Best is relative – what best for you is not best for someone else.  What is even more depressing is expecting something from a person and that person does not deliver.  Imagine how emotionally devastating it can be for yourself.

Heart2Heart’s secret to happiness – MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS in everything you do – expect that anything that comes your way is a blessing.  Better yet, have NO EXPECTATIONS – I guarantee you, you will be happy! YOU WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED!

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

Always a destination in London and a famous landmark!  It’s truly beautiful inside this store, I love window shopping here!!

Going around London is driving me crazy – all my senses are so alert – and look left rich up down everything is beautiful! Inside and outside of any structure – everything is so orderly, clean, neat, organized and just so amazingly beautiful.  In Harrods, don’t forget to look up!

First stop is usually the Food Hall for me.  I like just walking around and seeing what’s happening here.  I noticed the shopping baskets are Reisenthel ( German ) !

Liberty London

Super love this store!!  Ii have not been here in more than 20 years but appreciating it more now.  Liberty London – A story that reminds me of my late Grandmother, Gliceria Tantoco, who started Rustan’s.

Since 1875, Liberty has been synonymous with luxury and great design.  Arthur Liberty’s intuitive vision and pioneering spirit led him to travel the world looking for individual pieces to inspire and sxcitehis discerning clientele.  Liberty is not just a name above a door, it’s Arthur Liberty’s legacy whig stands for integrity, value, quality and above all beautifully designed products.  This vision and spirit continues today within the iconic Tudor building

Grilling the chicken

The chicken was good 🙂  I guess what makes it different from the rest is the sauce.  We can make good grilled chicken in the Philippines 🙂
