ConCon recommended this place to us so we wanted to try it. The problem with eating only as a couple is you cannot really try many dishes. So we were only able to try 2 yakiniku dishes. The basic beef, Japan Karubi cut, and tongue. We wanted to try the tongue because it had some unique variations I have never seen before ( with onion and with garlic). So the one with garlic chips is what we tried. I found the tongue a bit too thick. I prefer it sliced very thin. The karubi beef was very good and we had it two ways- with the regular barbeque sauce and I had them marinate another order in just salt and pepper.

It’s so yummy and the prices aren’t so bad.
You should also try Sakura Yakiniku (just a block or two away from Senri) and Mori-Mori in Alabang Town Center.
Yummeh!
been wanting to try this since before!
Another place to try is “Urameshiya”. It’s inside little Tokyo. You enter thru the small alley right beside Seryna. Yakiniku is very good and prices are reasonable. The owner of the place is from Hokkaido so they also have Gengis Khan, a traditional Hokkaido dish which is Lamb cooked in a dome-type pan. No other yakiniku place serves lamb. Wear shoes easy to remove because it’s traditional Japanese style seating, but there’s a hole for the legs so need to squat. 🙂
I meant No need to squat 🙂
We’re always here! First of all, the ambiance is far better than Sakura & much cleaner! The meat & seafood is very good, fresh & reasonable.
