The food at Shang Palace is absolutely fantastic! Better than many places in Hong Kong! I had lunch there yesterday and was truly impressed. Just one warning…Beware of the mainland chinese waiter going around offering tea. He has a metal pot that has a meter long spout. He will ask you to choose between Green, Jasmin, or oolong. He will then bring a tea cup with leaves and shoot the hot water with the metal pot and long spout behind his back! It will remind you of Efren “bata” Reyes making an exhibition shot backwards. I ordered oolong and even after waiting a while, the tea tasted really bland. I thought the tea was complimentary. When the bill came, it was 245 bucks! 5 pesos for the tea, and 240 for the mainland chinese exhibition!! I felt like eating the leaves…..
