Some very Parisian excitement in Tokyo
After London, Monaco, Geneva and Lausanne, Ladurée continues its’ journey and opens on one of the most beautiful avenues in the world: “Ginza”.
David Holder, the President of Ladurée, has wished for several years that our House could blossom in Japan.
Following a meeting with the President of Mitsukoshi, an iconic department store in Japan, David Holder decided to open his first Ladurée Tea Room.

The girls made sure we tried Ladureé in Tokyo…so we braved the long lines.
The first time we went there, we backed out just like many other customers did….. and later on realized that we had to really try it. So I lined up by the back stairs of Mitsukoshi department store and waited for 30 minutes and called my Mom and sister when it was already near our turn.

I wish I had taken more photos, but they were strict about it…so this was all I could take of the pastry counter
1 Macaron costs around P 158.00, expensive but it is the BEST in the world! 🙂
Loved the mini chandelier… we stayed in one of these tables
It would have been nice to stay by the window facing Ginza street…
So sorry about the menu- it was a bit tiny than usual…plus no English, just French and Japanese
It was worth the wait to spend time with the girls….
We just shared the Afternoon Tea for 2 persons
And took home some macarons for the others 🙂 which came in beautiful boxes

Fabulous. this is when two of the world’s most refined unite in one place – France on the Ginza!
lovely photos! haven’t been to the tearoom but seeing how lovely it is, will have to go soon.
pierre herme also has the yummiest macaroons. i tried the popcorn flavor once and the contrast was intriguing – junk food made into a french pastry. it was yummy but i’ll stick to chocolate =).
they have a pierre herme store at isetan dept. store in shinjuku. the line can get long though but it’s worth it.
speaking of french pastries, sadaharu aoki is great too. he has a store in tokyo midtown in roppongi. anything they sell there is delicious. and if you’re already in midtown, try the karuizawa lemon tea bread at the asanoya breadshop. they bake it several times a day and it always runs out – it’s that yummy!!!
OMG! can you adopt me?! hehhehe.I’m so inggit! .it was a big mistake that we did not went to laduree the last time we were in paris. HUGE mistake! big time!
