This is our second time to stay at Discovery Shores and it was even better than the first…same place but a unique experience the second time around
As usual, we had a very warm welcome when we arrived
It’s those details that count whether big or small……the Welcome Home sign made us feel more at home and that fresh buko lychee drink when we arrived was soooooo….refreshing!!!
Wow!! All these welcome gifts from the hotel and from the wedding couple…..
It was not JR this time, but Carlo who brought us to our room
We tried the one bedroom suite this time….Wow!! Beautiful!
Since the airplane has a weight limit of ten kilos, I am so glad they provide all these amenities 🙂
We have a bath tub!!! I only get to have this luxury when in hotels, so I take advantage. Just make sure to roll down the roman shades 🙂
This was a very pleasant surprise! The first evening when we went to the room, we saw our pillows had our names embroidered on them! We could not believe it. What a nice touch!! They said they would keep those linens for us so that when we come back, they will use those same pillowcases again
And this is new from Discovery Shores…
The Lunch Buffet- I was able to take photos of part of it
Late afternoon they set up this area for cocktails by the beach…
A quiet saturday evening
A beautiful Sunday morning
Til our next stay… Thank you to Discovery shores for a wonderful time…

Ah, Discovery Shores! One of the best places to stay in Bora. : ) They always have great weddings there. Havent got the chance to stay there though. We manage the private resort in between Friday’s and Discovery and we go there at least 3x a year. Just noticed, how come almost all guests of Discovery are Filipinos? I mean the Europeans/foreigners mostly stay in Fridays or similar resort hotels. Could it be a difference in preference?
This place is superbly beautiful. The service is fantastic. The food is great. We love Discovery Shores!
John, it is funny you mentioned that because it became sort of a discussion among us while we were in Boracay. Maybe it is because foreigners are looking for a truly Filipino/Native experience? Discovery shores is more on the modern side which probably is very common to foreigners? Maybe it is because the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence? 🙂 We did see some foreigners in the resort. I guess as you said, it is a matter of preference. I like that side of Boracay where Discovery Shores and Friday’s is because there are not that many people- it is more private. It is peaceful most of the time. That Sunday when we were there- it seemed like I had the beach to myself! I loved it!! Some people like a place where there is a lot of action or to be near all the restaurants and D’Mall…so they stay in that area of the beach.
