Another pasalubong from Dad and Mom, Dulce Gatas!!!! Wow!! Yummy but very fattening!! I told them, next time, I don’t want pasalubongs from Bacolod, I want to go with them so I can buy them myself 🙂
Yes, Dulce gatas is so BACOLOD!! No fail, I would fly back to NY with 6 containers of Dulce Gatas. They keep in the freezer well… So fattening but it’s the best!!
Well, if there’s a will, there’s a way! Bacolod is too far that I decided to make it myself. I got a gallon of Whole Milk from Walmart and mixed 4 cups of sugar with it, then applied medium heat for 3.5 hrs. while stirring ocassionaly. The result? Most excellent Absolute YUMMY Dulce Gatas from Tulsa! Tastes just like it! See my pics …
