Another one of Mom’s seaside meals. She has everything matching from the napkin rings, to the dinnerware and to the tablecloth. We had crab and mantis fresh from seaside!
Wow!! Yummy sidings for the crab. My favorite was the taba ng talangka! Mom said to make sure it is from Milky Way…THE BEST!
I went to peep at the kitchen and I saw the mantis before it was cooked
And to go with the seafood, Mom prepared Mongolian Barbeque
Everyone has their own mixture
Mom is lucky to have a great cook to assist her in all her meals- Manang Flor! Here she is cooking the mongolian mixture of everyone

Hi Rica! Thank you for your wonderful blogsite. I enjoy it so much and pick up so many tips from you. May I ask how you prepare the mantis? I would like to do this for my family as well. Also, what were those 2 bottles beside the Real Salt– is that mirin and something else? Lastly, what teriyaki sauce do you use for the mongolian buffet?
Many thanks and hope to hear from you soon!
Tata

So thrilled that the Milky Way TNT is part of your Mom’s spread. Truly an honor! Cheers to more great eats! Hugs to the family!
Hi Tata, Thank you for viewing Heart2Heart! I asked my Mom about your questions and she said that the mantis, you can cook it any way you like- steamed, fried, baked – just like how you do with prawns or lobster. The one in the photo is fried with corn starch. The 2 bottles are a japanese vinegar for crab and a ponzu sauce all from Japan. I am not sure if they are available here.
Thanks Gina also for viewing Heart2Heart! 🙂
