Sydney, Australia

I was so happy we decided to go somewhere we have never been to.  This summer we were fortunate to have visited Australia…a place everyone is raving about.dsc_8559.JPG

As soon as I arrived in Sydney, I was so happy to have travelled only 7 hours direct from Manila and felt like I was in Europe!  Sydney is a nice vacation place where you can literally relax.  Life seems to be very laid back…They know how to enjoy life! 🙂  Shops close at 5 pm!  Everything is in order and the city is very clean.  It is definitely not New York where everything is so fast and alive! But as Dad said…each country has its own charm and you need to appreciate each one on it’s own.   Since it was turning winter from Fall, the weather was getting cold with rainshowers every now and then.

The first thing we did was we took the HOP ON HOP OFF Sydney Explorer bus to get ourselves immediately and quickly acquainted with the city.  The whole loop takes about two hours without hopping off.  Beautiful city with many beautiful buildings and harbor views

Photos are taken at around 4pm already so it was getting a bit dark and taken from the bus so a bit difficult to take moving shotsexplorethecityexplorersydney.jpgsydneyexplorertourmap.jpg

Rica, like you I love sydney too, I always go back to this city when a chance comes by…the pictures are beautiful :))

  • I wish we had a hop on hop off bus here in Manila too. Btw, we went to Perth in Western Australia. I have tons of pics too on my site. You should visit Perth next time. It’s different from Sydney and it has it’s own charms. http://www.shootfirsteatlater.com

we do have one, but instead of a bus, it’s a jeep.. I think its called “sakay na” hop on hop off and goes around manila. Though I haven’t tried this so I could not attest as to how much tourist friendly it is.

Miel, I wish we knew your recommendations….NEXT TIME! 🙂

And yes apparently, when we arrived in the airport I saw a brochure which said HOP ON HOP OFF WOW MANILA SAKAY NA!! Our handsome 🙂 Secretary Ace Durano, of the Dept. of Tourism, seems to be progressive and has developed this. It is P 700.00 adults, P 600 for Senior Citizens and P 600 for children 2 to 12 years old. There are 17 stops all around Manila. They even have a website! Visit: http://wowmanilahoponhopoff.com/index.asp

Len, we did not do the climb – there were many things we were not able to do due to our short stay..NEXT TIME! 🙂

If you enjoyed Sydney, you’ll absolutely fall in love with Melbourne. It has the most European feel out of all our Australian cities. We’re renown for our parks and gardens, and most especially our retail therapy! You’ll find hidden laneways of Melbourne’s best kept boutiques and restaurants.

    Drop by sometime:)
