Of course, a trip to the supermarket is a MUST in Heart2Heart’s travels! I love looking and trying things we do not find here in our country. There seems to be so many flavors and varieties of the normal things we have here…
I am amazed at the variety of crackers, crostinis and bread sticks they have! I am imagining all the yummy dips that can go with them…and since i cannot try all of them, I feast my eyes and just take photos of them!
unique chocolates!!!
Land of the Tim Tams! Who knew they had all these other flavors!!
And the chips and snacks!!! WOW!!!!
And to counter all those unhealthy stuff…I like looking at the energy bars..they have so many choices as well..I want to try all!!!
And one of my favorites when I was a kid..we used to have this in the Philippines but it disappeared in the supermarkets, so i only see these in Hong Kong and now in Australia!
and they even have it in LIGHT version!!

We of course had to take the kids to some educational tours so we went to the Sydney Wildlife World which is relatively new and the Sydney Aquarium…but of course the adults had fun too ! 🙂
And because Sydney is so small, we bumped into Bobby and his kids who now live in Australia and Winston and Yvette with their kids who are tourists like us 🙂

There is a restaurant in Bondi Beach which has the BEST view among all restaurants and it was one of my favorites in the whole trip. Icebergs! Recommended by mostly everyone we asked
This was our waiter, doesn’t he remind you of Ricky Gervais?
I enjoy watching soups that are being poured and made in front of you 🙂

The two magic words – Chocolateria and Churros! We were walking down Bondi to get to our restaurant and we saw this – of course we stopped and had our dessert before we even had our lunch! We are a churros loving family! They have a window showing the churros being made- so of course it tempted us even more!!
Though the churros is not exactly the ones we have in Spain, they were okay. They had even a choice to have in milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate, dulce de leche, and churros with ice cream and many other ways of eating churros, which normally is not available in Spain. What I liked about the place was the way they set up the shop- it is so well planned, organized, beautiful back counters which normally are not thought of. Even the take away packaging was so nice!

Bondi Beach was perfect when we went there! We had the beach almost all to ourselves! But of course we did not swim! 🙂 There were a few guys surfing but in the beach, hardly anyone. It just turned winter so it is a bit cold already with some sun shining. But personally, this is exactly how I like it
This is the street behind the beach where you will find many restaurants and a few shops… I looked more at the restaurants 🙂 There are many to choose from when you are here
Movenpick YUM YUM!! We stopped by here to get ice cream! My favorite as usual is the White chocolate- it had white chocolate shavings in the ice cream. Yummy!!

We took the Bondi Explorer to get to Bondi Beach. Mom likes us to take this bus because we get to see and learn more about the sights around the city. She gives the kids a quiz after and the one with the most points gets a prize 🙂 On the route, we passed several residential areas and i found the houses really interesting…. each having its own unique beauty and look
This is however our favorite chocolate shop while we were in Sydney! We discovered it on the way to Nick’s Seafood in Cockle Bay Wharf ( June 16, 2009 ) !
Heart chocolate!!
Heart2Heart’s favorite white chocolate truffle!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, this is where we all went wild! Lindt Macarons!
Oops! Delice! 🙂
ICE CREAM!!!
Of course Heart2Heart’s favorite is the White chocolate ( without the chocolate sauce )

Geraldine took me back home and before saying goodbye she showed me this chocolate shop at the Strand. Haigh’s is an Australian brand. Geraldine of course bought chocolate and brought a recipe to go with it so she could try out a new baked product 🙂
I noticed several chocolate shops around Australia, I wish I had taken photos of all of them.
