The Brazo Bomb

By | What's New at Rustan's, Yummy! | 2 Comments

I am so happy that there is a Vargas Kitchen now in Rustan’s Supermarket Rockwell and Makati!  I see a lot of people tempted to have something and they do not even think twice and just pass by to get their slice of buttercake or take out a whole cake! It is strategically located at Makati store since it is right after the checkout so you can get some before going home

My all time favorite Brazo de Mercedez in the whole wide world is from Vargas Kitchen.  I have been eating that since i was a kid when Lola Mameng would serve it!

So when I saw this, I immediately bought a piece and tried it! YUMMY!!!!!!!!

This is Fe, the one who prepared our dinner with her assistant Mary.  I made sure she came out so we could meet the person behind the very good dinner.  James was teasing Newton the whole night that he will pirate Fe already!  🙂

Lotte Ice Cream

By | What's New at Rustan's, Yummy! | 5 Comments

Oh my gosh!! I got excited when I saw this new freezer in Rustan’s supermarket!!!! I memorize almost everything in Rustan’s supermarket that when I see something changed or something new in a section- I KNOW!

I saw the brand Lotte which to me is Japanese but the characters looked Korean- apparently there are some made in Korea.  I was not able to buy any as I was in a hurry but will definitely try them next grocery trip.

They are priced cheaper than the frozen delights in the Japanese groceries which are around P 66 or P 88 or even morep1110187a.jpglotteprices.jpg

New Balance Power Run

By | Giving Back, Sports | One Comment

Another one of our friends who always makes sure to give back to society…Anton Gonzales!  I noticed that every year he has something to benefit an organization.  Heart2Heart admires people like this and will definitely always support worthy causes!  Thanks Anton!!

From Anton:

It is on its 8th year now and we wanted to do something very substantial this year to assist the three Cancer organizations the best way possible.  If you recall, we have had fun runs for Carewell the past few years.  This year, our big run will benefit them directly along with our other two cancer beneficiaries.

This was my first time to try Kai since they transferred to Greenbelt 5.  Everything still consistent!  Great ambience and great food!

Golly Goosh Sweets

By | For kids, Yummy! | 5 Comments

My niece, Gabbi, loves to bake and she recently started her cookie business.  She made us taste her products before she finally offered them to friends and family and we love them! My favorite is the choco toffee cookies!

My sister told me that more than anything else, it was important for her daughter to learn the value of hard work and earning a living.  Gabbi is only 10 years old so it is good training for her and Heart2Heart definitely supports all entrepreneurs especially the young ones

She has gotten plenty orders already….I hope you can support Gabbi

Aside from the whole family ordering cookies, Tita Krie helped design the label for the cookies and Gabbi’s little sister, Mischka, posed and supported her sister as well 🙂
