Touring Naga

By September 8, 2009 Travel 12 Comments

We hired a taxi to take us around the city – it was cheaper than renting the hotel car.   And we could not find any rent a car company in Naga.  So we were lucky to use the services of  Eugene to drive us around.  He was proud that his company cars were all brand new 🙂 He was happy I took a photo of him 🙂

The city is not very big.  It is around 20 minutes from the airport to get to the center.

First stop, the new SM City!!  A sure sign of progress and potential in the area!

Many Many people – it was a Saturday

Heart2Heart is so happy that SM is also embarking on environmental concerns.  I believe that it is important because SM reaches to a very very wide range of the population and if they can educate the majority of the population, then our country will definitely be more conscious and aware of environmental issues

I heard that Biggs is a popular easing place in Naga, I hope to get to try it next timedsc_6338.JPG

This was their branch inside SM

Wow!! Where can you eat in a nice diner like this with prices like these!  So affordable and I am sure VERY GOOD!

We stopped by the Ateneo….. Dad was feeling proud because it was a beautiful campus

and their version of the Pieta

More Churches around the city…they must be very religious

Eugene took us to this pasalubong center near the market…here you can buy all the native delicacies…mostly pili nuts

I don’t normally listen to politicians talk but when I see a city or a nation that is improving and developing, someone must be behind all that….. and I can feel it strongly in Naga.  That is the only time I ask, who is the Governor here? Who is is responsible for this? for making a difference?

Hi! I enjoyed reading all your CWC/Naga travel entries. I’m planning to go there this October and you’ve given me a lot of insights about the area, I took down notes :-).

Would you happen to have the number of the taxi service? How did you get to contact him? Was he referred? I think it’s a good idea to just hire a taxi to bring you around, he can also suggest other notable places to visit.

    Thanks!
    Tei

At that time we were asking about car service, it just so happened that Eugene was parked outside the hotel. They had a few on standby there in the hotel.

Hi! Just a correction. Naga City is a chartered city. It is not under the Provincial Government. So if you’re asking who’s responsible for Naga City’s development. I think It’s the city’s mayor Mr. Jesse M. Rodbredo. tnx.

you should really try bigg’s diner! it’s the best! and all the developments in Naga are courtesy of ex-Mayor Jesse Robredo, now DILG secretary. LRay is responsible for other things mostly outside Naga City. 🙂

  • Joanne says:

Hi! How much did you pay for the car service?
