5 Feet, Laguna Beach

A month ago, we went to OC on a business trip.  Thanks to Tito Joey for picking us up in the airport.  He immediately toured us and took us near our area and drove us around Laguna Beach and had dinner there.  Immediately we had a good impression of the place.  Laguna Beach is beautiful!!!!!!!! I wish I had more photos.  I was at the back seat so it was a bit difficult to take photos when riding the car, plus my SLR camera was still in our luggage.

It is a small quaint area with nice small shops and restaurants with of course a beautiful beach2008lb.jpg

Tito Joey took us to 5′ Restaurant.  He said it was called that because the chef and owner, Michael Kang, is five feet 🙂

It was Chinese fusion and we enjoyed it!!

Next time you drop by OC, have breakfast at The Beachcomber located at historic Crystal Cove (off PCH between Corona del Mar/Laguna Beach). Instead of taking a shuttle to the resto, take a short hike to the restaurant which leads under a tunnel/freeway and right up to the beach. It’s nothing fantastic but just your typical local OC hangout.

Also, drop by San Juan Capistrano for a Sunday breakfast at Ramos House (a bit pricey). It’s very bohemian and the chef/owner is hip and has tattoos! It’s a very small residential home along ‘da riles’ turned restaurant.

I’m glad you enjoyed your short visit to OC!
