Heart2Heart finally gets to try Cafe Juanita since it is now nearer to home.  I have heard about the place in Pasig but have not been there yet

Owner partners – Verns Buckley-Chiongbian, former Ford Super Model, I figured she was an actress or a model because I thought she was really pretty and Dr. Boy Vasquez, an OB Gynecologist and now a restauranteur 🙂

Heart2Heart loves anything COLORFUL and Cafe Juanita is so full of color!! LOVE IT!!  I took every single angle and every part of the restaurant!

We wanted to take out our foreign visitor, Arno, so we of course chose Filipino food!  Only to find out he is married to a Filipina 🙂 But we all still enjoyed our lunch and most especially the company.  Arno is a nice and funny guy

    Rics,
The original one in Pasig still looks more “old world” and very quaint. You should visit it someday! I wouldn’t mind going back there again!

Every time I return to the Philippines, I make it a point to return to my favorite restaurant in Manila, Cafe Juanita. I have known the co-owner Verns since she was a little girl, and am very proud to be considered as one of her friends. What she and co-owner Dr. Boy Vasquez have done with this restaurant is amazing. The quality, variety and presentation of the food is world-class, and is only accentuated by the ambiance. It is fun to just let go and enjoy the fantasy, when you enter this Bohemian explosion of colors and dreams.

In short I can tell you that even if I did not know the owner, I would find myself returning over and over again, just for the pleasure of the experience.
