You can actually make homes using containers used for shipping?

There is actually one being built in our country and it’s beautiful!

Main pluses of using shipping containers to build homes:

– save about 25 to 35% on construction costs

– containers are reusable – Don’t need brand new or class A containers,  used mostly class B, but a couple of class C. It’s the frame that has to be in good  condition.

-Used 3 forty-foot containers and 4 twenty-foot containers. It  has approx. 350 sqm of floor area excluding the open deck.

And this is the inside! WOW!!

I’m one of your regular readers and this is such a timely post. My husband & I are planning to build our home & we are seriously considering using container vans. But there are hardly architects/contractors who are experienced in building a house with container vans. Thanks!

i admire the house but like what mandy said it will be hard to find contractors that could deliver the same quality results just like the house you’ve featured. hope to see more houses like this on your future posts. thanks!
