Resorts World Mall

By | Recreation | No Comments

While everyone was going out of town for the long weekend, we stayed put in the city..

We went to visit the Resorts World Mall and wow, it does remind me of those gigantic malls in Vegas which connects to a Casino 🙂

Though there are already a few shops and restaurants opened, there are many more to come…like Our Very Own, Essenses and Silver Vault from Rustan’s!

Home Cooking

By | Foodie | No Comments

Tina invited us to come over to try the cooking of her Tita’s cook as she was trying her out and having her teach her cooks some dishes.  Of course we immediately accepted the invitation!  We are always willing tasters 🙂

Heart2Heart loves home cooked meals and loves cooks who cook at home and makes us feel like we are in a restaurant 🙂 There were two evenings of this and we enjoyed both.

The Ultimate Round Dining Table

By | Celebrations, Foodie | 2 Comments

We attended a very interesting dinner last month. It was a great experience and we were so happy Dad and Mom took us along to the dinner. We hear so much raves about Tito Robbie and Tita Helen from Dad and Mom, so it was a priviledge to actually join them……. and we had an instant admiration for them.

Thank you Tito Robbie and Tita Helen for sharing your home and your beautiful family with us.

I normally feature people, food and table setting but this time, there were so many other things that were different from the usual

Remember when I featured the ROUND DINING TABLE? ( Click on link below )

https://heart-2-heart-online.com/2008/07/22/the-round-dining-table/

Tito Robbie will not eat in any restaurant that does not have a round  dining table! Tito Robbie even has his own round table in Antonio’s whenever he goes there.  Now you know where Dad and Mom get the inspiration for their round table

This was our dining table that evening

And according to Tita Helen, his dining table keeps growing and growing. The table we had for dinner was good for 18 but the real table that will come will be good for 22.

Tita Helen also told me that there are 3 things that are required when having dinner with Tito Robbie

1.)  You have to remove your shoes and you have to wear slippers which they so kindly provide 🙂

img_5334.jpgimg_5320.JPGimg_5321.JPG

2.)  You need to talk about yourself and update everyone of the latest things you have been up to.  For us since we were new to everyone, we just introduced ourselves. I am very very shy and don’t normally like talking about myself but I do enjoying listening to others talk because I learn so much from them.  That evening, everyone had to talk about themselves and not only did I learn a lot  from my seatmates ( which is what normally happens ) but it seems like I got to talk to the whole table and we were 17 all in all.  I noticed that in this dinner,  I could not concentrate on my food as I was very interested in listening to everyone.

3.)  There must be a group photo after the dinner

img_5400.jpg

And this is what we had for dinner…..

Tory Burch Fall 2010 Inspiration

By | Fashion, What's New at Rustan's | No Comments

We are constantly inspired by fashion, art and the way these two worlds influence each other. While designing Fall 2010, we envisioned the kind of girl who’s an art enthusiast, the girl you see in galleries in every city. She has an effortless, eclectic way of dressing and putting things together in unexpected ways. She’s smart, cool and aware of things going on in the world around her.

Fall’s color palette was inspired by Picasso’s Mosqueteros exhibit and Gerhard Richter’s abstract paintings. Neutral black, gray and camel are accentuated with bright pops of tomato red and electric blue. The collection focuses on a utilitarian edge infused with feminine details—the play of oilskin leather against sequins, loose knits against feathers, shearling with painterly prints. Slouchy, oversized silhouettes are worn with slim pants and workman’s-style boots. Layering is key—capes, jackets, coats, knit vests and sweaters. Accessories speak to ready-to-wear, completing the looks with square but slouchy bags, hoods, fingerless gloves and belts that are cinched over and under everything.
