Restaurante Fernando Macau

By | Foodie, Travel | 4 Comments

This is my favorite Macau restaurant!!!  The best does not always have to be the most expensive for me.  This place was so simple yet the food was really really good!  I love portuguese food since it is similar to Spanish!  Really value for money and really good food! I highly recommend this place, Don;t leave Macau without eating here.  There is only one thing missing for me…..PLAIN RICE!!!  It would have been perfect with the Bacalao and the Roast Suckling pig!

Front of the restaurant and wondering why there is no one eating here

Take not of the P 20.00!  Of course they will leave only the smallest bill! haha!!

Outside seating which probably can be used when the weather is cold

We were taken to the back and this was where everyone was eating…very simple, no frills, and so NO AIRCON! 🙂

fernandos-09.jpg

They sat us near the window and this was our view! So, we just didn’t look outside! 🙂

Before watching Zaia, we had dinner nearby so Mom booked us at the Chinese restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel.  It was very very good!!!!   We told them we had a show to catch and they made sure we got our food on time.  They even ushered us to the theater which was a short cut from the hotel

Lord Stow’s Egg Tarts

By | Travel, Yummy! | No Comments

I read in the internet while googling that you should eat EGG TART when in Macau.  According to out tour guide, Mom, Lord Stowe is the BEST!   I don’t really eat egg tarts so I would not be able to validate that but it was really YUMMY!  We went to this branch, only to find out there was a store in the Venetian though we are not sure if they are being freshly baked over there.

Starbucks Introduces New Hot Lunch Sandwiches

On August 9, Starbucks will introduce new hot lunch sandwiches as part of its commitment in providing customers with additional food options for a satisfying and rewarding lunch.  Made with high-quality ingredients that customers expect from Starbucks, these new lunch sandwiches can be enjoyed any time of the day.

Macau for Kids

By | Accomodations, Entertainment, For kids, Travel | 3 Comments

This is for my friend Michelle who is going to Macau soon.  This is what I have gathered in the short time I was in Macau. My kids are older kids already so I tried to gather what I saw and not really experienced them myself. So I may have missed others.

I recommend Macau for a short vacation with the kids because the city is so near Manila, it is beautiful especially with the Portuguese influence, it is very clean,  and it is so fun and entertaining!  Not only for kids but for people like me who don’t gamble 🙂  It was summer for the Chinese so there were many kids at the time we were there

I heard that the Venetian Hotel is kid friendly and they have big rooms for families.  The Venetian is also very central and that is where all the action and entertainment is.  Click below for more information and to see the different kinds of rooms

1.)  Go Hotel Hopping and see the elaborate displays in the lobbies and the shows.

Don’t worry about kids getting lost in casinos.  They are very very strict and will not let any kid go to the casino.  They were so strict that my Dad almost fought with the security!  haha!!  It was raining and we had not where to pass to get to the Lobby unless we got wet in the rain with the strong rain.  And we were rushing to leave for the airport after lunch.  We had to call Ralph to help us and he just gave in because he knew my Dad was already so so mad!

2.)  Fish Spa

4.)   Kids Play Zone at the Venetian – I saw this while walking in the Venetian.  You can probably leave the kids here while the parents want some time for themselves 🙂

Hotel Shows at Macau

By | Entertainment, Travel | 2 Comments

Heart2Heart was so happy to be in Macau!  So fun and alive and just so many things to see and be entertained!

We caught the lobby show of the Galaxy Hotel and I wish I caught it on video

shows-at-macau-01.jpgshows-at-macau-02.jpgshows-at-macau-03.jpg

This was at our hotel, the Wynn.  Mom wanted us to see the Tree of Life which she saw before, but the theme had changed already from that time

shows-at-macau-05.jpgshows-at-macau-04.jpg

Here it is on video

[wp_youtube]POu5KPGz53k[/wp_youtube]

And here is the water show in the front of the Wynn which actually comes every hour or so and at night more often, I think every 15 minutes.  We take it for granted as this was the view from the room, so finally we really stayed and watched the show right in front and even got wet! 🙂
