Heart2Heart is into coconut anything! 🙂 “Buko” sherbet, coconut water, fresh “buko” juice and coconut oil

My friend Newton is always whispering to me and telling me that coconut oil is the best, it’s just that it is not being marketed well enough for people to understand it’s benefits.  So Newton told me to buy coconut oil for cooking.

It normally does not say coconut oil in the packaging but when  you look at the ingredients you will see it there

And Newton told me to look for the bottles that are not clear or see through

Just curious, what is the benefit of bottles which are not see through?

Coconut Oil is bottled in non-see through bottles because they have a tendency to become hazy or solidify in cold temperatures such as in a grocery store. It’s just a packaging thing. People might avoid buying coconut oil if they see it hazy in a bottle. Coconut oil should be stored in room temperature.
Great blog Rics. The US lobbyists have unfortunately destroyed the image of the coconut as a cooking oil to support their corn and soya industry yet they are one of our biggest buyers of coconut oil for processing other products. We have the best and healthiest cooking oil on earth and sadly many Filipinos don’t even know it.
Coconut Oil helps you digest your food quicker. It helps the stomach digest and transport the nutrients straight to your whole body. As a daily regiment, I take 1 tablespoon of either Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), or even regular Refined Bleached Deodorized (RBD) cooking oil found in the grocery, before I have a meal. This will allow the coconut oil to help break down and digest the food efficiently.
Just remember everyone, do not over cook any oils or fats beyond it’s smoke point or that oil, especially the unsaturated oils will turn to Trans-Fat. Not good!
Trivia: Oils and Fats are the same. The term oils are used for Fatty Acids that remain liquid at room temperature such as most cooking oils. The term Fats are used for Fatty acids that are solid at room temperature such as butter, margarine, animal fats, etc…
P.S. Clinical studies have shown coconut oil is a good preventive maintenance, and has even helped in the reversal of Dementia or Alzheimer’s.

BTW, coconut water is becoming the next big sports drink. It comes in tetra packs and is selling like hotcakes in the states. I haven’t found it here yet except at Sta. Elena Country Club. The 3 best selling brands are VitaCoco, O.N.E., and Zico.
Note: Don’t buy those coconut water in cans, there’s added chemicals.
Coco water replenishes your potassium even more than bananas, and you can’t have enough potassium in your body. It helps your body fix itself : )
Remember, a coconut a day keeps the doctor away!!! (Better 2 coconuts, hehe)
