17 + 8 Years Ago

Seventeen plus eight years ago, I met my husband.  I was only in high school and I met James when I was fifteen years old.  He was my first and only boyfriend at sixteen years old, fourth year high school.  Eight years after, we got married.  So it has been a total of twenty five years since we have known each other and I look forward to the rest of our lives together.  I am very lucky to have a good man to share the rest of my life with.

 Here are some photos from our wedding.  Digital cameras and photos were not yet invented so these are all scanned photos.  So, please bear with them.  Our theme was Tiffany & Co.  My Mom, Tita Nedy, Tita Nena and my sister organized everything.  I was a very relaxed bride 🙂  The year was 1994 when there were not many options yet for anything related to weddings

There was no Eddie Boy Escudero or Jason Magbanua yet and the best Photo studio was Bob’s.  This is a very typical Bob’s pose 🙂

We were fortunate to have our wedding officiated by most of the priests that are close to the family and are honored to have been wed by His Eminence Cardinal Sin

Thank you to Tita Nena, the church the reception were decorated so beautifully.  San Antonio asked to leave the decor for Christmas after the wedding

The reception was held in my Lolo Benny’s beautiful garden and Tita Nena dressed it up so beautifully

My wedding gown and the dresses of the ladies were done by the Ninang of James, Tita Malou Veloso.  The beautiful sterling silver rosary I am holding, I held while I walked down the aisle, the same one my Mom held in her wedding

 

And these are the words on the plaque James gave me when we were still dating, around a year of being together.  I wonder if at that time he knew that he would marry me, because I did!
