Seventeen plus eight years ago, I met my husband. I was only in high school and I met James when I was fifteen years old. He was my first and only boyfriend at sixteen years old, fourth year high school. Eight years after, we got married. So it has been a total of twenty five years since we have known each other and I look forward to the rest of our lives together. I am very lucky to have a good man to share the rest of my life with.
Here are some photos from our wedding. Digital cameras and photos were not yet invented so these are all scanned photos. So, please bear with them. Our theme was Tiffany & Co. My Mom, Tita Nedy, Tita Nena and my sister organized everything. I was a very relaxed bride 🙂 The year was 1994 when there were not many options yet for anything related to weddings
There was no Eddie Boy Escudero or Jason Magbanua yet and the best Photo studio was Bob’s. This is a very typical Bob’s pose 🙂
We were fortunate to have our wedding officiated by most of the priests that are close to the family and are honored to have been wed by His Eminence Cardinal Sin
Thank you to Tita Nena, the church the reception were decorated so beautifully. San Antonio asked to leave the decor for Christmas after the wedding
The reception was held in my Lolo Benny’s beautiful garden and Tita Nena dressed it up so beautifully
My wedding gown and the dresses of the ladies were done by the Ninang of James, Tita Malou Veloso. The beautiful sterling silver rosary I am holding, I held while I walked down the aisle, the same one my Mom held in her wedding
And these are the words on the plaque James gave me when we were still dating, around a year of being together. I wonder if at that time he knew that he would marry me, because I did!
Heart2Heart loves hearing success stories and how people invent and discover great ideas! Thank you Cara De Ocampo and the team from Beyond Yoga for introducing us to Christopher Harrison!
He told us that he was last in Manila when he did a show called Spellbound almost 15 years ago. He was an acrobatic dancer in Broadway – Chorus Line, Footlose and many others. He is the founder of Anti Gravity and he choreographs opening acts for Mariah Carey, Beyonce and many more.

This season, MUJI introduces, “100 Wise Tips for Winter”, an informative campaign that shares practical tips on different ways to cope with unpredictable weather transitions. Snow-deprived Manila may not be enjoying the perks of the winter season, but that should not keep the Filipino fashion patrons from bundling up in style. With a creative mix of minimal fall and winter touches to fit our local weather, layering need not to be an impossible and ridiculous task. Travelbugs who plan to leave the town for some R&R to colder regions of the globe or perhaps in Baguio and Tagaytay, are also in for a warm MUJI treat. This time of the year is the best reason to rock a pair of boots. MUJI offers three comfortable styles for your feet: Classic Leather, Boa and Raised Heel. The classic leather is a trustworthy pair that could go with any outfit without sacrificing comfort. Foldable Boa and Raised Heel Boots have faux fur inside to give your feet extra warmth while showing off your fashionable side.
Heart2Heart loves notepads and any kind of stationary!!! I was so happy to bump into Triccie and Gia in the Assumption Bazaar and all they sell are notepads!!! ( Sorry photos are not too clear)
Chef Javs ( my son ), always tells me about Chef Bruce because he watches his cooking show on TV. So I was ecstatic when I found out that Chef Bruce has a cookbook! A perfect recipe book that Javier will love! I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Bruce at the launch of his cookbook at his restaurant Chef’s Table
He even demonstrated 3 recipes for us and we even got to try them for lunch
Prawn Aligui Wrapped in Banana Leaves
Stuffed Chicken Leg Adobo with Crispy Pork Flakes
Oh my gosh! Nora Daza!!! Her cookbook was the first cookbook I ever used when I was a kid. Maybe around 10 years old I was baking and cooking and my favorite was her Lenguas de Gato in her first ever cookbook which I still have til now.
I don’t mind going to Batangas for 2 1/2 hours because we can always break the trip and have a good excuse to stop by Tagaytay 🙂 We looked for the restaurant which we heard about from Gaita and so glad we found it!
This is the main counter where you can also order and they have a few dining tables here
It’s outdoor dining 🙂 by the parking lot
in a bahay kubo!
With singers going around and will eventually serenade you in your kubo
Our bahay kubo
My dates 🙂 who are so game and adventurous too
They bring you all your utensils in a pot with hot water and the pitcher is covered since they walk from the kitchen to the outdoor bahay kubo
Even the catsup bottle is covered 🙂
Tapsilog! YUMMY!!
Fresh buko juice!! YUMMY!
And our main dishes! All covered as it arrives! Though once the food is opened, there are flies hovering the area so just watch out for them still flying around. I should have sprayed my insect spray to avoid them from coming near, but I was so hungry and just concentrated on eating 🙂
CRISPY PATA!!!!
BULALO!!!!
TAWILIS!!!
And for dessert, the banana hanging on the bahay kubo!!! You can eat as much as you like! 🙂 There were other desserts but we were so full already and didn’t even finish our food
When I am on a road trip beside the driver’s seat, I tend to notice a lot more things on the road 🙂 On the way and back to Pico De Loro, I specifically noticed different ways on how people transport themselves! Quite interesting how many kinds I saw in just one trip
Of course the beautiful scenery is something you can’t get in the city and I just love it!
Oops!! This guy looks familiar!
It’s David Almendral! Going uphill take note! 🙂
This guy was in front of us and didn’t even move! 🙂 we had to use the other lane to overtake. Transporting via carabao! 🙂
Oh my gosh! A jeep with people even on the roof and on the sides!
And they were waving at me! haha!!
Of course there is always walking
by motorcycle
by threes?
More motorcycles but in a big group one after the other -A Sunday ride 🙂
By tricycle
By bicycle
And wow, this truck had like 30 people in the back, i was not able to take it as we were both moving and it was quite fast
