Le Bistro D’ Agathe

By | Foodie | One Comment

I heard about this place from our friends, Mart and Sam and thought it would be a nice place for our next lunch with the group.  When I arrived it reminded me of a place we went to here before and apparently it was.  It was the old Fat Michael’s.

A French guy, Chef Patrice, took over the place.  He used to run a restaurant in Puerto Galera and has decided to come to the city

A nice and cozy place, just like we were in our own home 🙂

Two notes from Lucille which she sent to us

Chef Patrice says that he makes everything fresh except for the bread!  He can make french breads but it is just too time consuming for now.  And just like the real French Cuisine, Chef Patrice says he does not put any salt and pepper, you have to put your own

Brown bread!  A healthier aletnerative

There is an ala carte menu

Det who is on a Cohen diet, did not get the set menu instead she just ordered the Terrine, French meat loaf.  Which was good

Carbonara for everyone to share aside from our set meal

bistro-d-agathe-027.jpgbistro-d-agathe-019.jpg

And we all had the set menu which we find very reasonable.  It’s always good to have a set meal where you have a complete meal from starter to dessert

All desserts come without any sugar added.  They were good enough for us.  We appreciate healthy dishes nowadays especially with two of us having caner, one on a Cohen diet and the rest who have to lose some weight and eat healthier 🙂

Chocolate Mousse

Stars Shine in Ferragamo

By | Entertainment, Fashion, What's New at Rustan's | No Comments

Italian luxury goods empire Salvatore Ferragamo, is renowned worldwide for its outstanding craftsmanship and au courant designs. Tinsel town’s fashion-philes have been spotted donning the latest renditions from this fashion power house at the recently concluded Venice Film Festival, banking on Salvatore’s designs for that perfect vogue moment.

Top-model Cindy Crawford looked ravishing in a one-shouldered gown as she attended the Ides of March premiere. The ageless beauty chose a Salvatore Ferragamo minaudière with oxblood leather and gold metal details to complement her elegantly beaded gown.

German actress Diane Kruger looked stunning in a sparkling and elegant gown as she attended the movie premiere of Ides of March at the Venice Film Festival. Even without much jewelry, the actress looked drop dead gorgeous as she accentuated her gown with a pair of Ferragamo double platform, ankle-strap silver satin shoes and a shimmering silver karung minaudière.

At the premier of the movie Contagion, actress Eva Shangyi Huang looked elegant in a long-sleeved black, beaded evening dress complete with a belted waist. The actress combined it with a black, embroidered, geometrical-shaped chiffon minaudière to polish her look.

Actor Filippo Scarafia attended the premiere of the film Terraferma, styled in Ferragamo. He looked debonair as he donned a black tuxedo with two-button jacket which he paired with a white tuxedo shirt and black leather slip-on shoes. For the photo call of the film, Filippo looked dapper in a blue, double-breasted jacket and a pair of denim pants, paired with a white shirt. He accessorized his look with a pair of 3-tone suede lace-up shoes and a grey satin pocket handkerchief.

The Kineo Awards bore witness as the beautiful Valentina Lodovini attended the event in a dark blue, jersey cocktail dress with draped motif from Ferragamo’s AW2011 Collection. The actress was also seen at the premiere and photo call for the CoseDell’Altro Mondo film wearing the much coveted Ferragamo black suede cap toe pumps with silver metal detail.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood knows how to amp her style factor with chic ensembles as she was spotted out and about wearing a pair of Ferragamo hounds tooth python pump at the photo call of her film, The Ides of March, and black suede cap toe pumps with silver metal detail when she arrived at the Hotel Excelsior. Wood then stunned the red carpet crowd as she attended the premiere of Mildred Pierce, looking lovely as ever in a black, lace-detailed dress while clutching pewter, metal and black karung minaudière. At the Gucci Award ceremony, she opted for a black on black motif and kept in hand a gold metal minaudière with black leather geometrical patterns to give her ensemble a stylish twist.
