Since Howard and Lyn love art, the family took them to Antipolo to Dr. Cuanang’s home and gallery. I have not been here in so long. The last time was when the doctor was only starting and people were just talking about him. So, this was a big change for me to see how it has transformed. For me, the whole place is a work of art in itself. It’s beautiful, the garden, the works of art scattered all over the place and I just love all the old Filipino objects of art which are rare already nowadays. Truly anything that is of good quality will always have value many many years down the road
Jose Rizal Sculpture in the garden
Chapel
Another Jose Rizal Sculpture
Monk’s Quarters
Dr. Cuanang’s house
We met one of the gardeners who was very kind. He is one of the many gardeners who maintain the the place
He walked us down further past the pool
And there was a Casita for guests or for couples getting married at the gallery

After lunch, we visited the nearest Starbucks store which was at JP Laurel. I featured this before

After the talk of Howard, we went to have lunch nearby and went to the Diamond Hotel for Japanese food
Spaghetti Mentaiko! YUMMY!

It’s a wonder why in the Philippines, japanese restaurants have such a wide range to choose from in their menu which is totally the opposite when you go to Japan. When you go to a Japanese restaurant in japan- they really just specialize- whether it be a tonkatsu restaurant, or a Tempura, ramen, yakiniku or Teppanyaki place. It’s very specialized and they concentrate on what they do best! To me its complicated to look through a long menu though in the Philippines it probably works well because we like eating in big groups and families- so the menu better cater to everyone 🙂

It was so nice to see managers from the Rustan Group!
My nieces even skipped school just to listen! I wish i had sent my boys as well! It was worth it!
Until this day, my Dad and my Mom have remained very very close friends with Howard and Lyn. When you focus on the people, relationships last even outside of work and even after work!
Thank you to Howard Behar for coming over and sharing your time with us. That one hour talk was truly valuable to me and for sure to everyone who had the chance to listen that day
Watch a few clips from the talk:

It’s about PEOPLE, It’s about serving people!

And to quote from what my cousin Gippy said:
I thought I was going to hear about the Starbucks success story. I did but nothing about marketing strategy, or money, etc. He just spoke about being yourself and being human and knowing yourself in utmost clarity and honesty, and serving others. It almost felt like I was listening to Jesus. I know that sounds too incredible but something tells me that that was the same thing Jesus was teaching his apostles. Maybe if Jesus lived a little longer he would have also created a Starbucks and more like Howard.

Seventies cinematic icons continue to inspire the Jimmy Choo Spring Summer ’12 Collection. Think AnoukAimée from the film Justine with her sultry glamour and insouciant style. The direction is decidedly sporty, loose and manifests in ‘Justine’, a new bag with unstructured slouch appeal.
The craftsmanship of Justine reveals an attentive hand, with traditional artisanal stitching and piece work with each bag requiring more than two weeks to finish. The subtle “bombé” padding technique around the flap is a luxurious detail that softens the edges and creates texture while drawing attention to the distinctive hardware, a slip-lock inspired by a gold lipstick case.
The Justine bag is designed with an unzipped front pocket, variations of which expose a hidden flash of textured python in bright colors of yellow, coral and emerald. Other more opulent options are made entirely in matt and shiny crocodile in Klein blue, acid yellow and violet.

Another breathtaking party by my good friend, Grace! This girl is truly amazing in organizing and creating memorable occassions!! How she transformed the ballroom and how she put together all the details of her party. The contents of the Patisserie were even bought abroad and she put them all together to come up with the theme. All the moms ( especially me ) were the ones raiding the Patisserie of Alessi 🙂
Happy Birthday to the little Princess, Alessi!

I saw this TV series this morning and loved it instantly! I have only seen the first episode.
I was a Grey’s Anatomy addict and for those that fell in love with Mc Dreamy, I think you will love Dr. Holt even more! I don’t really watch too much shows and TV, but I will be following this. I predict transformations happening to this very handsome doctor 🙂
