Cant Take my Eyes Off You

By | Heart Songs, Valentine's Day | One Comment

How simple were the days when the MTV of a song did not have to be so complicated or expensive to conceptualize and make.  We liked the song because we liked the song!

Sharing with you this video of a popular 80’s song which we still sing and dance to up to now!  Heart2Heart always wants to feature a song during Valentine’s Day, so here it is… Enjoy, have some laughs and have a Happy Valentine’s Day! 🙂

Basil

I was so happy to hear that my very entrepreneurial cousin, Marga and her husband Eugene have a new business venture again – After Office Warehouse, Dwell and ID Center.

Previous entries:

Dwell May 20, 2009

We were very lucky to be one of the first to try BASIL which is in White Plains right beside the White Plains Subdivision sign  the first lot to your left.  It used to be a landscaping store which they turned into a restaurant.  They opened two days ago and are still on dry run but be the first to try it 🙂

Congratulations Eugene and Margs! We will always support you!!  And also to their partners Bummer and Maya ( Agustines ) Santiago!

Heart2Heart loves the place!!!  I love the plants, the garden, the vases surrounding the restaurant.  Thanks to Bummer and Eugene who are responsible for the interiors

Oh my gosh! I could not believe it when I saw this plant in the center of the restaurant!  It was a gigantic version of one of my favorite plants! It is so so beautiful and rare!!! I wanted to buy it but Bummer doesn’t want to sell it 🙂  I heard that Bummer is into plants and likes decorating places.  He is only selling the vase.  The vases are all for sale and are all antiques from 200 years ago!!

I just love this plant, i think I took it from every angle and it kept distracting me while i was there 🙂

Heart2Heart is so happy to meet Alfred!  A very nice guy and very practical which is why all his clients really love his work and trust him to build and design their homes.  Thank you Alfred for sharing your work with us.  We hope to see more of your works here at Heart2Heart and more power to you!

One thing you will notice about this house is you will not see any airconditioners sticking out, they are all hidden somewhere or covered by something.  In this photo, they are hidden under the planters

by-alfred-wieneke-029.jpg

Even when you look at the side perimeter of the house, it is so well done and is a design in itself

by-alfred-wieneke-01.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-031.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-032.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-024.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-021.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-02.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-08.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-020.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-023.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-06.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-022.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-07.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-019.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-018.jpgresidence-3-rear.jpegby-alfred-wieneke-04.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-017.jpgby-alfred-wieneke-05.jpglanai.jpegpool-area.jpegrear-facade-2.jpeg

As you walk along the whole house, there are many windows on both sides which gives light and cross ventilation for the air to come in the house

Basement

by-alfred-wieneke-010.jpg

Even if you are in the basement, you don’t feel so claustrophobic because there is a window feature and access to go out

Bitchology

By | Today's Quote | One Comment

FINALLY –

Someone is bitchy enough to say it like it REALLY is!

bitchology01.jpg

BITCHOLOGY

When I stand up for

myself and my beliefs,

they call me a

bitch.

When I stand up for

those I love,

they call me a

bitch.

When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts

or do things my own way, they call me a

bitch.

Being a bitch

means I won’t

compromise what’s

in my heart.

It means I live my life MY way.

It means I won’t allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to

tolerate injustice and

speak against it, I am

defined as a

bitch.

The same thing happens when I take time for

myself instead of being everyone’s maid, or when I act a little selfish.

It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won’t become anyone else’s idea of what they think I ‘should’ be.

bitchology03.gif

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, just try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce   of beauty I hold within me.

You won’t succeed.

And if that makes me a bitch ,so be it.

I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

T = That

C = Can

H = Handle ‘anything’
