We normally take Japan Airlines to the States, but recently we have been using Korean Airlines.
Flights are from Manila to Seoul, then from there, they have flights direct to the States and so far i have tried – LA, Seattle and New York. So far so good!
My seatmate!!! Jim Clancy from CNN!
I wish i took photos of the stewardess but I assure you they are even prettier than these ones I googled. They were all tall, slim, pretty with very very nice pearly white skin!
Our food on board
They always have Bibimbap as a choice, James seems to like this
I wanted the milkfish, but they ran out so i got the chicken
When we arrived, customs asked me if I brought any snacks – any magic sarap? any chicharon? Oh my gosh, I had chicharon. A friend asked me to bring chicharon for her and apparently it is not allowed! So they had to open my suitcase and analyze my chicharon. I had chicharittos which was pork and they confiscated it but they let me keep the others which were vegetable chicharon

my friend was able to bring me that Chicharon in Mang Juan and I love it. However that Marty’s crackling is available at Seafood City.
Ms. Rica,
Thanks for the heads up on the chicharon – I didn’t know that it is not allowed anymore, I was able to bring some to my sister in my last trip to the US. I hope that the ban would not be applied to pastillas and Jollibee because her family and in laws love these too.
Food in Korean Air looks good, I am a fan of Delta/Northwest, I guess I will try Korean Air in the future.
Best
The customs officer knew what to ask – ” Any Magic Sarap? Any Snacks? CHICHARON? TAPA?” haha!!
