MICHAEL KORS OPENS FIRST FREESTANDING STORE IN SPAIN

NEW YORK, May 24th, 2012 – Michael Kors is pleased to announce the opening of its inaugural store in Spain. The glamorous single-level space is located on Serrano, Madrid’s most prestigious shopping boulevard, an ideal setting for the Michael Kors brand to reach its jetset clientele.

The 2,700-square-foot shop, at Serrano 32, features both the Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors ready-to-wear labels and Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors accessories, including handbags, small leather goods, footwear, eyewear, watches and fragrance. The signature Michael Kors collection, known globally for its luxe sensibility, has been specially situated in its own exclusive area overlooking a beautiful garden. The boutique, designed by the company’s in-house interior design team, will maintain the same chic aesthetic—clear acrylic nesting tables, zebra benches, polished metal finishes, mirrored surfaces and large-scale vintage artwork—found in the company’s other stores worldwide.
