Roche Bobois has just opened a first showroom in Manila showcasing 2 collections and new models on a surface of approximately600 sqm.

People will discover the French Art de vivre-“way of life” that the prestigious brand represents.

History

Roche Bobois is a story of two families, the Roches and the Chouchans.

The Roches purchased the old Alexandre Dumas theater on rue de Lyon and created their Parisian showroom.

At this time, the Chouchans were selling furniture in Russia. Until the day, they emigrated in France and created their store in Paris on Boulevard Sébastopol at “Au Beau Bois” (which later became Bobois).

From this union of these 2 families in 1960, the Roche Bobois brand was born and has now grown to become a worldwide corporate and franchising network.

A Company in Expansion

Roche Bobois, a global leader in high-end furniture design and distribution, is a dynamic company in development.

With sales amounting to €380 million in 2011, Roche Bobois is now present in 45 countries with a network of 250 exclusive stores. As a testimony to the brand’s dynamism, Roche Bobois opens one store in the world per month. In 2011, Roche Bobois opened 13 new showrooms. Recent international openings include those in Doha (Qatar), Buenos Aires (3rd Roche Bobois showroom in the Argentinean capital), Madrid (2nd showroom), Seoul (Korea) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast). For 2012, the brand is currently working on fifteen new projects. Among them are new showrooms in Alger and Manila that opened in June, and others in Germany, UK and Austria.

Each new showroom reflects the spirit of the brand through its interior architecture, the selected models and the collections displayed, and the quality of the proposed services.

As a true testimony to its dynamism, Roche Bobois launches twice a year an exclusive new collection and proudly ranks among the most cutting edge, high-end furniture brands with an international reputation.

Since the beginning, Roche Bobois collaborates with world-class designers such as Hans Hopfer, the French designers Pierre Paulin and Marc Berthier, and most recently, with some iconic designers such as Vladimir Kagan (Comète) or Paola Navone (Ping Pong) who created outstanding collections for the brand. Roche Bobois also works with a new wave of talented young designers including Christophe Delcourt (Legend), Sacha Lakic (Speed Up), Stéphane Lebrun (Assemblage), Cédric Ragot (Cute Cut), Daniel Rode (Furtif) or recently Ora-Ito. Roche Bobois also teams up with fashion icons like Kenzo, Missoni, Ungaro, Jean Paul Gaultier, and this year, Sonia Rykiel.
