One Infinite Summer

Charriol Saint-Tropez Collection

People love the sparkling, sun-drenched port of St. Tropez for all the obvious reasons – the chic sauntering visitors, the incredible light, the clear Mediterranean, the smell of lavender, the beautiful bodies. It’s probably the most glamorous Riviera destination that’s still a little bohemian; wild, mysterious and exotic — much like veteran Swiss watch manufacturer Charriol’s St-Tropez Infinite Summer collection.

On October 12, Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and Charriol will host an exclusive, one-night only event to celebrate the collection. No less than French entrepreneur Philippe Charriol and his son Alexander Charriol will fly to Manila to grace this momentous event. Also joining the event is famous French singer Antoine Debarge who sung the brand’s new soundtrack entitled, Hey, Charriol, and who is also set to perform live during the affair.

The new collection comprises models adorned with diamonds set in mother-of-pearl, a first in the Charriol range. Dubbed as summer’s ‘It’ watch, the St-Tropez Infinite Summer jewelry watch has a cable bracelet and adjustable chain that shines beneath an unusual sapphire crystal.

Thanks to its sophisticated case construction, the latter covers not only the dial but also the bezel. Behind this show window, the hour and minute hands sweep across the mother-of-pearl dial base embellished by its sunburst motif, which features beams radiating out from the small seconds sub-dial.

The collection also features innovative cable motif rubber straps in black or white which afford a casual touch and is destined to appeal to younger wearers. Imbued with a truly refreshing appeal, its 30 mm-diameter cases come in natural steel; pink gold-plated or yellow gold-plated versions with white or black mother-of-pearl bezels, polished or set with diamonds.

In the Philippines, Charriol is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) with shops located at Greenbelt 4, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Tower, Gateway Mall, SM Mall of Asia, 158 Designers’ Boulevard Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Robinsons Midtown, Newport Resorts World, The Podium, Rustan’s Ayala Cebu, Abreeza Davao and Limketkai Cagayan de Oro.

The Friendly Kitchen

By | Giving Back | No Comments

We went nearby to scout the places for catholic churches for Jaime to go to.  This was one of them

friendly-kitchen-01.jpgfriendly-kitchen-02.jpg

The church was closed so we were trying to get access to the office so we could talk to someone and we stumbled into this instead!

friendly-kitchen-018.jpg

They were using the church as a temporary venue for their feeding since they are renovating their building

friendly-kitchen-07.jpg

This is their stock of food which is being donated by individuals or food stores for them to use to cook food.  They feed around 80 to 100 people a day

Dorm Room Checklist

By | Education, For kids | 6 Comments

The kids are assigned to a house ( dorm )

dorm-room-checklist-020.jpg

Common areas

dorm-room-checklist-010.jpgdorm-room-checklist-06.jpgdorm-room-checklist-05.jpgdorm-room-checklist-012.jpg

We arrived early and had a headstart in organizing the room

dorm-room-checklist-019.jpgdorm-room-checklist-02.jpg

This is it! 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-01.jpgdorm-room-checklist-04.jpgdorm-room-checklist-03.jpg

We decided to rearrange the room to give each of the kids fair chance of having their own bed space so no one has to be on top of the double deck.  So this is what we changed it to ( though I heard they already rearranged it after living there for a few weeks, I am still waiting for the photo 🙂  )

dorm-room-checklist-015.jpgdorm-room-checklist-014.jpg

More storage space on top of the room

Jaime’s big brother, Chris 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-021.jpg

Thanks to some friends who helped us out an gave us a list of all the things we would need in the dorm.  We were guided so well in buying the things.  Even the stores were very prepared, they already have printed checklists which you can grab in the front of the store and use it as a guide.  It’s so common in the States that they are such experts at dorm living!

Wow, i wish I made my dorm room in college PINK! haha 🙂

The boys brought all the things up!! And let Mommy do the unpacking!!! Oh my! 🙂  They went to do other things that were needed – books, etc etc

dorm-room-checklist-060.jpg

For comfort since the mattresses could be quite old.   I want my son to have a good rest at night after all he will be studying very very hard! 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-061.jpg

I bought this pen so I could mark all his things!! in case it gets misplaced!

dorm-room-checklist-063.jpgdorm-room-checklist-062.jpgdorm-room-checklist-064.jpg

I bought dymo tape that you can iron on clothes

img_4849.JPG

Name stickers to stick on school supplies

dorm-room-checklist-042.jpg

FOOD!!!  In case of emergency! 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-065.jpgdorm-room-checklist-066.jpg

For his few valuables

dorm-room-checklist-067.jpg

Attached to his bed

dorm-room-checklist-022.jpg

Tote to bring to the shower plus all the toiletries

dorm-room-checklist-069.jpg

School supplies from Staples

dorm-room-checklist-070.jpg

Bed lamp for reading

dorm-room-checklist-071.jpg

For all devices!

dorm-room-checklist-072.jpg

Phone with a very very long cord!

dorm-room-checklist-074.jpg

We bought those portable plastic drawers to put under the bed for additional storage – plenty bottled water, drinks, food and toiletries.  We figured it would be best to stock up so he does not have to go out of campus just to buy little things

dorm-room-checklist-026.jpgdorm-room-checklist-025.jpg

After 3 hours, Mommy was tired!!! And this was the room

dorm-room-checklist-032.jpgdorm-room-checklist-033.jpgdorm-room-checklist-029.jpgdorm-room-checklist-037.jpgdorm-room-checklist-031.jpg

The closet 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-035.jpg

Still some space left which I am sure will get full as time goes by

dorm-room-checklist-036.jpg

Thanks to Lola Menchu for remembering to pack these!

dorm-room-checklist-046.jpg

After around 2 hours of me fixing, the roomate arrived

 dorm-room-checklist-076.jpg

with 6 other family members!! WOW!!  It was a family affair 🙂 and he was lucky he had a lot of help – they finished unpacking even before me!

dorm-room-checklist-075.jpg

We were so happy to know that his roomate had a good family background! They even invited him already for Christmas to stay over! 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-077.jpg

Soon after lunch, they already had activities!!  Jaime was kicking us out already!! He was so excited!

dorm-room-checklist-041.jpg

Oh my! Mess already – we had not even left yet! 🙂

dorm-room-checklist-043.jpg

We went down to see what they were doing- they were already having dorm activities and last we saw was they were passing a football around – hmmm…
