CLP harmonizes young talents to foster peace with Youth Peace Summit
In partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), Create and LearningPathsSchool will be holding its Youth Peace Summit titled “Magkakaiba. Nagkakaisa” on September 22 to 23.
Now on its third year, the Youth Peace Summit will gather around 400 kinder to grade 10 students from schools all over the metro to celebrate their talents and individualism in observance of Peace Month.
Promoting peace among children from different communities, the two-day affair aims to spark students’ interest, hone their skills and share their talents with each other through various genres of art.
There are vocal exercises and training, hip-hop dance and Play-Doh workshops for kinder to grade three students; theater acting, comic book writing, introduction to rap and mural painting for grade four to seven students; and guitar/band jam, introduction to songwriting, poetry writing, modern dance and storybook illustration for students grade eight to 10.
Aspiring dancers, actors, singers and artists will get to improve their craft as they learn from special guest speakers and facilitators such as the members of the FEU Dance Company, AKBAY Advocacy Theater Group, and the mural artist AG Sano.
Be advocates of Peace starting today! Join Create and LearningPathsSchool‘s Youth Peace Summit and experience harmony in diversity. For inquiries, call Strategic Works Inc. at 893-7472 and look for Ms. Nadine Bernardo.

Bulgin and Lils recently celebrated their youngest son’s first birthday and at the same time, had his dedication ( known to us as baptism ). Good idea, so one event rolled into one 🙂
It was my first time to attend a Christian baptism. There is a video here which I clipped together from the talk of the Pastor, JP Masakayan
Daniel and Joshua- all the boys are named from the Bible!
A very interesting talk given to us by Pastor JP. See the video below and take time out to listen

Thank you Tito Villanueva for sharing at Heart2Heart your special birthday dessert from Tivoli! What a unique creation!!! I hope I can try that one day 🙂
From Tito Villanueva
“this was a gift of Tivoli and the dessert chef, though not new it was the 3rd time they did this according to them then. It did taste like halo-halo with ice creme on chocolate sphere canisters without the ice and milk!”
Marrying the classic refinement of vintage influences and a laidback, easy attitude spells chic sophistication embodied in the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall Winter 2012 Collection.
With references to the exciting fashion details of the 40s and 70s, the collection is spiced with a touch of chic. A quiet elegance with the surprising element of verve and sassiness that defines the designer makes the collection constantly successful.
Perched high on the waist, pants are matched with small cardigans and blouses bringing to fore a fun spirit in a classy package. 40’s coats in slim tweed bring to fore a fun spirit in a classy package. Shirt dresses with bow collars evoke memories of a young girl dressing up as a lady.
Calf-length circle skirts, fluid skirts matched with small sweaters and straight wrap-around skirts bring to mind the happy charm of the 40s and 70s.Double skirts present an interesting detail.
Colors that provide warmth—bordeaux, dark green, navy, burned brown and rust, golden yellow, anise, red, indigo, camel—take an exciting interplay with multiple fabrics, accents and patterns that are masterfully translated into chic, sophisticated creations. A color block dress proudly showing off a double collar with double sleeves makes a bold statement.
Shimmery silk dresses in puffed sleeves and floral pattern paint a whimsical style. Metallic jackets either paired in skinny jeans or worn over velvet dresses exude a spirit of boldness and elegance combined and for those who want to break out from the norm and who want to look classy while getting a lot of attention.
Cashmere in monochromes provides an interesting combination with navy skinnies and chic dresses.
A play on plaids is hard to ignore in this collection: a plaid poncho in Peter Pan collar mixed with a metallic gold dress demands attention. A plaid suit speaks of laid back sophistication.
Hobo shoulder bags in various shapes and lace-up wedge shoes complete the collection.
With a collection that meets old world 17th century to a more contemporary 21st century, fall in love with fashion and Marc by Marc Jacobs all over again.
In the Philippines, Marc by Marc Jacobsis exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI), and is located at Greenbelt 5.
