Air & Odor Management

By | Great Inventions | One Comment

For those of you who are particular about smell,  there is another way of preventing odors in a room or in a certain space – not through candles or through room sprays.  Jeroen Van Straten brought in this product which he uses in his very successful restaurant, Pepper Lunch.  We all know that when we eat in Pepper Lunch, there is a smell from all the sizzling plates being used.

“Initially we brought in air purifiers in because of pepper lunch yes because i could not find air cleaners that were made to handle oil particles that come from cooking, what was available in the Philippines were only air cleaners to be used for tobacco odor. So we started to import the air purifiers for the stores from Singapore Air & Odor Management. After a couple of months i set up a partnership with Singapore and we set up office in Manila. We added more items like ambient scenting later on. We are the sole distributor for these products. “

 jeroen-van-straten-photo.jpg

Here is a brief description from Jeroen on his business and what he can offer

We are unique in the Philippines with our ambient scenting units. We use essential oils and the way our units scent is also new. We are the sole distributor for Prolitec, US based scenting company that does the scenting for most major casinos and hotels in Las Vegas. The Belagio, Hard Rock, etc.

Air & Odor Management is a Singapore company which is specialized in indoor air quality, odor control and ambient scenting. Our Manila office opened in 2009

Our equipment and solutions are all imported from the USA, Canada and Singapore.

Ambient scenting is new for the Philippines but we do see more and more clients in various industries understand the benefits of good smelling stores. Our clients base ranges from hotels, law offices, retail brands like All Flip Flop stores, Apple reseller chain Beyond The Box, dance club 7th High, a body waxing studio and the scenting of the design studio of Philippine fashion designer Rajo Laurel.  We also do scenting at the Wellness Center of Saint Lukes hospital, all restrooms of the Power Plant mall and in room scenting of The Maxim`s hotel in Resort World Manila.

We sell outright to clients but most are on a contract basis where we have a service contract.  We replace the fragrance cartridges monthly, check the machines to make sure they run well.  We do ambient scenting for retail stores, clinis, spas, malls, hotels, casino, hospitals, offices, art galleries, showrooms, model units for condominiums.  The list is endless.  Anybody that is particular with having a nice fresh and attracting smell in their home, office or business contacts – contact us and we will most likely have the scent fragrance that will make the feel the client wants complete!

Our client base is really diverse and our smallest ambient scenting unit AirQ150 is also perfect for home, condo or bathroom use. The unit is fully programmable with its on board computer. You can set the times, days and strength of the fragrance in advance. airq150-inside.JPGairq150-scent-unit.jpgairq150.JPG

All our fragrances are from essential oils and are US made.

We have over 30 fragrances to choose from.

To name a few fragrances: Saw Grass, Fresh Clean, Enchanted Apple, Lavender, Rose and Peony,  Citrus Tea, Lotus Flower, White Tea to name a few.

Peachy’s Despedida

By | Foodie, Velada 2012 | 5 Comments

When I was a new student in Assumption first year highschool, one of my best friends was Peachy.  She took care of me together with Tinette and Eds and introduced me to everyone and made me feel at home

8_2-copy.jpg

This is proof that we were very close! 🙂  She gave me an original copy of the proof of her graduation photo.  When you are in highschool, these little details mean a lot 🙂

And here is Peach with her stuffed toys in her room where we spent many afternoons after school and weekends hanging out here

And a few weeks ago, I visited that home 25 years later.  It was recently renovated and was supposed to be where Peach and her family would live.  Only to find out that she had to move abroad and follow her husband Rudy to his job assignment

Peach had a despedida and I was happy to be back here where we had a lot of memories

And here is her eldest son, Sebe, welcoming and opening the door for us 🙂

Charriol Divine Jewelry Collection

CHARRIOL Divine Jewelry Collection: Born in the Stars

For this brand new collection, Coralie Charriol was deeply inspired by art and design: themes she regularly comes across as a Creative Director in New York’s fashion world. As a resident of the city she now calls home, New York has been both her muse and springboard for this new collection which takes root in the stars. “Stars” have always been a very popular motif; this past year in fashion I saw them everywhere, so I decided it was time to create CHARRIOL’s own unique star collection,” says the Creative Director who lends her talent in designing tantalizing pieces of jewelry as art.

divine-necklace.jpg

The Divine collection is voluntarily sober and clean, comprised of two necklaces, three rings, and two bangles. The principle structure of the rings and bangles are made with the distinct CHARRIOL cable, maintaining the brand’s trademark note, whereas the necklaces are delicately composed of cables and chains for a bolder, more complex look. There are also two different versions for the bangles and rings, which includes one lengthened star, or several assembled conjoined stars as centerpieces.

All the jewels are made of steel – a material that is lustrous, reminding us of the brightness and brilliance of the stars at night. Ring, bangle and necklace. Palladium and rhodium plating stars, steel cable and chain.

divine-ring-3-highresolution.jpgdivine-ring-1.jpg

Charriol is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) with shops located at Greenbelt 4, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Tower, Gateway Mall, SM Mall of Asia, 158 Designers’ Boulevard Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Robinsons Midtown, Newport Resorts World, The Podium, Rustan’s Ayala Cebu, Abreeza Davao and Limketkai Cagayan de Oro.

Cats in the House

By | Animals and Pets | 3 Comments

Our house seems to have a lot of cats roaming around……and giving birth too 🙂  I was in the basement and I peeped through the window and saw a cat with her babies.  We have a pocket area in the basement which is actually a nice home for them which is why maybe she stayed here.  She gave me that scary look since maybe she thought I was going to harm them.  I looked again the next day and they wre gone.  I am imagining she had to carry them up this wall one by one to bring them out

kittens-in-our-basement-01.jpgkittens-in-our-basement-02.jpg

I came home one day and saw again another cat – a white one- posing in the front door – I thought it was a nice shot- I took it right away hoping to catch the shot before it runs away

img_0193.JPG

True enough it moved and I was still able to take another shot 🙂

img_0196.JPG

Another day, another cat 🙂 They are actually nice props in our home, part of the decor 🙂

This one I saw on the ledge of the balcony
