Radisson Blu Cebu

And it’s nice to be back in civilization 🙂 Checked out of the resort and now to the city! It was raining during our stay. We arrived at our home in the city, The Radisson Blu hotel!

WOW! What a spacious and grand lobby!! Heart2Heart loves this hotel!!! Thank you Tita Marissa Fernan for arranging this for us!!!

We checked out Philip’s room, a Standard room, which was also on the Business Class floor – BEAUTIFUL and spacious!

Nice to have multiple views from your bedroom!!! The mall is right beside the hotel! Of course because SM owns the Radisson Blu 🙂

Islands Stay Hotels

When you arrive in the airport and on the way to the city, you will see a colorful building Called Island Souvenirs Pasalubong center. There is a Starbucks here 🙂 And this sign caught my attention!

James told me that this is the new business of Islands Souvenirs, they have hotels at a very reasonable price!! Seems to be a lot of these popping up nowadays! Like the GoHotels of the Robinsons group

You choose your room like you are buying a t-shirt – S, M, L, XL! It’s literally no frills – just sleep and take a bath 🙂

But rooms look pretty decent and even modern! 🙂

I heard about this place from my sister Pam and then again from Janine and Malca. So I decided to finally check it out – it’s around 10 to 15 minutes away from the resort.

It’s their factory and they have a little store where they sell their overruns

Oh my gosh!!! You will go crazy!!!! SO MANY BEAUTIFUL ACCESSORIES all made in Cebu! At very cheap prices!

Dinner Prepared by Crimson Resort, Mactan

Upstairs of Saffron is a lounge for hotel guests to hang out in, but soon this will be transformed into a Pan Asiatic restaurant which will be a little more formal than the Saffron Cafe.

General Manager, Jimmy Montonegro here to check on us 🙂

Executive Chef Stefano Verillo prepared a wonderful meal for us and gave us a sneak peek on what to expect for the up coming restaurant

Pork Belly Rissole

Magret Duck, macerated mango and grapes, fuji apple and Nashi pear salad with strawberry vinaigrette

Mushroom Cappuccino, a melange of three fresh mushrooms blended together and dusted with porcini powder

Tanduay Spiked Fish Chowder, a clear fish soup loaded with saffron, vegetables and egg royal spiked with the Island’s best rum

The best way to relax!!! Your stay is not complete without passing by the Spa

All the therapists are trained by Mandala Spa ( Boracay ). It was really really different having a massage here! The hand movements and timing was done so well, I felt like I wanted to stay there the whole day 🙂

Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan Accomodation

This is the map of the whole Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan.

Immediately you will see that the best rooms are always with the view and by the beach – and those are the beach casitas

It’s a 6 hectare property so there is a golf car to bring you around if needed

Ocean front villa – These are the best accomodations in the resort as it is facing the ocean. There is no direct access to the beach as they are on top of the cliff

The first villa which is convenient as it has the fastest access to the pool and beach but may not be the most private

All the furniture in the resort is from Cebu 🙂

Beachfront Private Pool Villa- the next best accomodation in the resort – The beach is on the right handside of the resort and these villas are on that side – If I am not mistaken there are only 3 of these in the resort and you see them in this photo.

They are nearest to the beach though I do not find them really private because many people pass by here to get to the beach.

Your pool is in an area where people pass to get to the beach and there is not much landscaping to cover and give you the privacy. But then, you have your own pool in your villa and balcony

Across the road from the Beachfront private villas is the Beachfront Casitas – we didn’t get to go inside but we saw it from the outside and it is right in front of the beach hence the name
