And for the first time I tried tonkatsu with cheese!!!  Chicken Katsu with cheese – it was okay but could be better

curry-house-irvine-california-027.jpg

What an extensive menu for a Japanese restaurant!  Though very specialized – curry and spaghetti 🙂  Love the options of having additional curry sauce and the different toppings

Golden Spoon is from Southern California

By | Golden Spoon, Travel | No Comments

When Golden Spoon first arrived in the Philippines in November 2009, not many people knew about the brand.  Many asked if it was a local brand or something we created.  They knew it tasted good, but they did not know where it came from

 421891_10151381764728229_298688182_n.jpg

Golden Spoon is one of the first frozen yogurts in history – Since 1983

384864_10151231831889106_814953837_n.jpg

Golden Spoon already existed even before the froyo craze.  It was born in Southern California by a man named Jeff Barnes.

536896_10151311118666872_1476342479_n.jpg

Until today they have 72 stores in Southern California

where the weather is sunny and where everyone wants to have a frozen treat

golden-spoon-wall.jpeg

And stores in Japan, Canada, Qatar and of course in the Philippines

 602674_10151331649614106_1142304415_n.jpg

Jeff Barnes’ son, Reed, owns a Golden Spoon store and runs five other stores which is company owned.  He is the frozen yogurt expert and continues to live out the legacy of his father,  If ever you are in Orange County, stop by his store and you will see him there working IN SHORTS! 🙂

 img_9341.JPG

Golden Spoon is made from FRESH MILK ( not powdered ) from CALIFORNIA.  It is shipped from CAlifornia to the Philippines serving you the freshest and healthiest frozen yogurt.  Many can claim to taste good but not many can claim to taste good and yet have heathy benefits – which is why Moms and kids also love Golden Spoon
