 More than the delicious food that we all grew up loving, I think everyone would agree that what has endeared us all to Jollibee is its appeal not just to kids but to entire families. It’s that happy place where we first learned to share a burger with our siblings, the magic word that lights up every child’s face (what kid doesn’t get giddy over hearing that their parents are going to treat them to Jollibee?), and the venue for countless family get-togethers.

This is what Jollibee has poignantly captured in their 35th anniversary TV commercial, which fittingly pays tribute to every tatay, nanay, ate, kuya, bunso,  lola, and lolo who has made Jollibee the number one place for family bonding.  For parents, dito ang sarap maging magulang just by seeing the priceless smiles on their children’s faces when the plate of Chickenjoy lands on the table. For a grandpa, dito ang sarap maging bata ulit with his grandchildren, as they enjoy their sundaes together.

Jollibee’s commercials have become classics, not only because of the memorable lines (“Isa pang Chickenjoy!”) and catchy jingles (“I love you Sabado pati na rin Linggo”), but for depicting timeless Filipino values and the incomparable joys of childhood and being part of a family.

 In this time when the importance of family has taken a backseat and our kids are oftentimes distracted by superficial things, it’s great to have brands like Jollibee reminding us of how important it is to stay close as a family.
