Bi Rite Homemade Ice Cream

We saw this long line of people waiting to get their ice cream! So we decided to have dessert here!

We had to line up too for maybe around 15 minutes. The line was never ending from the time we entered to have our dinner til after we had gotten our ice cream

Finally we reached the counter, we did some tasting

We just shared one cup Malted Vanilla with Peanut butter and milk chocolate!

You can also take home pints and quarts

Next door there was soft serve and bakery but for some reason there was no line and no one was really buying

I think it is because they only have one flavor offering while at the other side there are a variety of flavors to choose from

we were now headed for dinner! Jaime had reserved for early dinner at this Korean fusion place – New Korean American Cuisine as they call it

They give you a bag to put your bag in so it does not get dirty on the floor

Oh my oysters again

Okonomiyaki – Yum! This was a big portion which they warned us in advance that many dishes are for sharing

Ramyun which is their version of ramen

Though we felt it was nothing spectacular, it was good – we enjoyed the new experience of trying a new place. I loved the details and the uniqueness of their product offering. The other items on the menu looked interesting though we were a bit full already from all the snacking!

I was so happy my boys joined me – they love cheese too

California cheese flight for Jaime which we all shared

Mac and Cheese which we all shared too!! YUMMY! We loved having all these small snacks

Dandelion Chocolate

While walking down Valencia street, there are just some stores or places that everyone agrees to stop over to and this was one of them!

Chocolate! Chocolate! Everything Chocolate!

On both side walls were chocolate merchandise being sold

In the middle is the counter and behind the counter was where they were making the chocolate

You can taste the chocolates!!

After looking and looking, we just could not help it- we had to try it! So this was snack # 2 for the day

Frozen Hot chocolate! and no it does not taste like Serendipity’s Frozen hot chocolate It’s a more sophisticated version

House hot chocolate which we all sipped from this little cup

Mission District San Francisco

I am so happy to see my boys bonding! I feel so out of place because I am the only lady in the family and they like doing different things, but I love hanging out with them even if they always tease me because they do not understand that men are from mars and women are from venus haha!! But I love them so I just go to where they go so I can be with them

After our snack at Hog & Rocks, Jaime directed us to Valencia street in the mission district. He wanted to go to a place or area that resembled Soho and this was the closest which he researched on

We walked down the street and saw many interesting frontages of shops and restos

Jaime said he tried this in the airport and that it is better than In N Out

A taco place

which has no sign except for a small orange board sticking out with a taco image

we quickly breezed through the street so we did not go into the places

hmmm…

Jaime knew I was looking at this place but he warned me that it’s not really a chapel

Bike friendly

A barber shop which Jaime went back to for a haircut

Nice men’s shop beside the barber shop

Curious what this place is with those stones so just took a photo

A butcher shop turned into a gallery for a few days- interesting concept

Hog & Rocks

Apparently today was supposed to be a day of eating! Jaime really took advantage and he chose places to try! So after our dim sum lunch we went to Hog and Rocks for oysters!

So happy to be reunited as a whole family with my two boys together! These two boys eat or two persons though so you can imagine the eating that we do when we are together

Jaime chose this place for the rocks so that’s what they ordered

Here it is! And according to the boys – DELICIOUS!

Very satisfied with his choice of resto- for someone who lives in Concord, this guy claims he is a GOURMET Though I do believe he has very high standards and knows his food very well
