Ever since I posted about Ana, everyone I bump into asks about her

Previous entry:  Friend for Ana July 30, 2013

They are all very concerned.  They ask me how the condition started and I realized I did not know the full details.  So I asked Sari to help me,  though I tried to contact Ana ( despite trying not to bother her ) and apparently she is strong enough to write something for me to share here at Heart2Heart so i asked her to share her story.  She even sent me photos!  So we have a blow by blow account here 🙂

I am happy because I am now in touch with Ana and know that she is okay.  All my worries seem to disappear when she’s sending me messages.  She took time to write a letter to explain and narrate what had happened to her which she allowed me to share with all of you.  All of you who have shown concern, compassion, love, care, or just want to know how Ana is

Friends for Ana by The Dream Team August 7, 2013

Update on Ana August 2, 2013

This was in May before Ana went on vacation.  She was very healthy and in fact trying to get in shape and be healthy.  This answers everyones question as to whether she had symptoms already in the past or if she was already diagnosed.  There was none.

320893_10201179403431633_1289560042_n.jpg

And here is Ana’s letter narrating what had happened which all started during her family vacation to the States.  Thank you Ana for your beautiful letter to me and for sharing your story with all of us.  I will always be here for you and so will everyone else who has shown so much love and support throughout this tough journey, most especially God who has held your hand and who has always been there for you.

Ana told me that we should immediately see a doctor if we feel anything unusual or any pain.  We should not be scared of doctors! 🙂

What a beautiful story, and such a great happy ending. This post brought joyful tears to my eyes, thank you so much for sharing with your readers, Rica. 🙂 God is really so good for letting Ana surpass this trial -her young family still needs her for a great many more years. And for surrounding her with wonderful family & friends, and most of all, such a loving & selfless sister. Not many can say their sisters are as selfless & as caring as Faith (even her name is such a blessing & source of comfort!). She is truly an angel. We fervently hope that beautiful Ana is on her way to fast recovery & will be back to her normal self very very soon. Don’t worry about the scars, for they are battle scars, and you most certainly have won the battle, Ana. \m/ They are constant reminders of how God has blessed you in so many ways possible. This story indeed teaches us to value life, and to concentrate on what really matters in life.

  • Ara Arago says:

This post touched my heart. I was crying reading the whole thing.

Thank you God that Ms. Ana is on her way back to good health. Thank you God for kind-hearted friends like you Ms. Rica. Thank you God for undying love from family and the strength her sister gave her. Thank you God because there are still people who care.

  • Tess Chua says:

I am always reading your blog for years and this is the most touching story, that it made me cry. She is a woman of strength who gives praises to God inspite of her condition. Thanks Rica for posting. She is an inspiration to us. I will keep you in my prayers.

  • Cat says:

    Hi Rica,
You can post this or just keep it confidential but may I ask if Ana has been taking or has ever taken Glutathione orally or intravenous? I have noticed instances of abdominal organ maladies, me included. 2005-2007 I’ve been heavily taking glutathione in very high doses (5000mg/day with 2000mg vit. C) both orally and intravenous, 2008 the doctor examined me and tests confirmed my SGPT was very high, if I remember correctly it was 9 or 10 times the normal. I have been very healthy too with no family history of liver disease, I keep wordering til now if it was the glutathione (being marketed here as antioxidant). I mean Rudy Fernandez, Zsa zsa Padilla (had some abnormality too thankfully not cancer) and others whose name I cannot remember. I am now taking Essentiale Forte as maintenance vitamins for my liver. I just can’t help thinking if it was the glutathione and how so many people are taking it now for beauty.

Such a beautifully written journal of the battle of your life, Ana! It moved me to tears. Although I only know a little of you as a co parent at Everest, I know now that you are one amazing lady. Your attitude and fighting spirit are an inspiration to us all. Yes, life is short and God is good! All will be well. Peace, love and prayers.

  • Lala Dy says:

Hi Rica! Don’t really know Ana personally but her story of Faith needs no further introduction. Her perseverance and undying trust in God’s protection and love for her is just so inspiring. It is no surprise she had remained strong through this very difficult moment in her life, Faith was by her side. I’m sure it’s no accident her sister was named such as she is truly testament of what it means to believe in a God who knows our every need. My sincere prayers for Ana’s continued healing and consolation for those who care for her, most especially to Faith. Thanks so much for sharing with us, Rica! So so heartwarming!

  • Luzanne T. Manlapit says:

Faith and Hope make things possible. her “journey” through physical and emotional pain made Ana stronger. the support of her family and friends is also a great factor. let us continue praying for her speedy recovery. and thank you for knowing Ana through your column. God bless ….

  • Tini Tiosejo says:

Thank for sharing. She is an inspiration to everyone. I was also in the same boat in the summer of last year 2012. I was also forever trying to get healthy till one day after a short vacation somewhere in Bataan, I fell ill and the doctors were all clueless of whatever hit me. After having 4 flat lines they found out that I had Myocarditis (a viral infection of the heart that makes your heart really weak and eventually gets tired and stops beating) due to pneumonia and sepsis. Then I was getting worst by the day, I had liver and kidney failure. I had fluid in my lungs and I had elephant legs too. The doctors were actually just waiting for me to expire. But after every flat line, the Lord keeps on waking me up. God is so good. His love for us is great. He never gives up on us. We just have to let go, surrender and trust in His healing grace. I too am a miracle. Hundreds of people around the world, even those I never met were praying for me. My husband and I have shared our life changing experience to several communities and we believe that God is using us to bring hope to those who are already losing it. God bless you.

Thank you for sharing this. Ana is a very loving, beautiful, happy person and she has so many friends who love and adore her. I am one of them. When I heard what happened, I wanted to fly to Charlotte, feeling that I live so near (Jersey) and offering my care is the only help I can give aside from prayers, of course. But then she was placed in the ICU and she was already surrounded by so many people who also love her so much and of course she has Faith!!! Kudos to Faith!!! Anyway, to make this comment short, I am one of the happiest friends knowing Ana is getting better everyday. Ana, if you are reading this, We love you soo soo much. We pray everyday for you. I hope to see and hug you soon. Take care my friend…. Michelle

I am moved, overwhelmed and in tears reading everyone’s message and knowing God has blessed me with so many friends and family who love me, who pray for me and who are always willing to do anything for me. And a sister named Faith who has lived up to her name 🙂

Thank you sooooo much, I cannot find words to express my feelings. I promise to keep everyone in my prayers as my thanks to everyone who supported and prayed for me and stayed by my “side” through this journey. I won this battle because God and his angels were with me and my friends and my family were by my side.

I have learned much from this journey and may I ask that we all live in Love, Peace and Laughter and with God in the center of everything we do 🙂

Rica, thank you so much for sharing my story. Now more than ever, I know I am being used as in instrument to spread God’s love and His promises.

    I love you dearest friends,
    Ana
