I asked my friends, Suharto and Rina, to take me on a car tour around the city to familiarize myself with the city since I have not been back for ten years. I wanted to reminisce and one of the places we passed by was our school! Located near the Waterloo Station. The building is still there but the school has moved already
It used to be the Royal Waterloo Hospital for Children
Our school was part of East London. Before, East London was not really a destination but now the government has funded the redevelopment of the area and there are now many things to see and do in this area! Here in this photo is the Borough Market with the Shard in the background, all of which are in the East London area
Cathedral behind the Borough Market
is the Bermondsey Antique Market come between 4am to 7am for even better deals
Our main purpose was to visit the Shard! The tallest building in Europe ( for now) 🙂
You can’t miss it from any angle or area you are in
Window washing!!
The old London Dungeon
Underground station to get to the Shard
And here we are!!
Going up to scout the place
This hanging floral arrangement caught my attention – it looked like it was just floating in air
We were supposed to go up to see the view from the top for I think 30 pounds per person
But Suharto and James instead just showed me the postcard of the view! haha!!

That’s so Suharto to just show you the view through the postcard!
Haha Trish! You know our friend 🙂 Actually he bought tickets na for all of us – then we changed our minds 🙂
This is one of the great attractions in London and it’s worth having a view from the Shard.
I am sure it is. We really wanted to go but we had very little time. Hopefully next time
