AC Velada Batch 88 Infinitas

By | Velada-Others | 9 Comments

A Velada is a coming home event for the Silver jubilarians and a means of bonding with one another!  Bonding not only with your own batch but with the whole Assumption community.   That’s why I enjoy watching because everytime I go, I bump into so many people and get to watch a Tita or a friend performing.  It’s so much fun!

It is not a competition as to who was the best batch, or who performed the best, who gave the most, but what is important is that we all help each other bring out the best in each one of us – whether it be your batchmates or between batches.  After all we have one goal which is to give back to our school and of course to reunite and bond with our batchmates and schoolmates.  It is important that we all give it our best without necessarily doing it to prove who is best!  Having said all that 🙂  Heart2Heart will be expecting every year to become better and better as we learn from each other.  So guys, we each have the throne for a year only! haha!!

Congratulations to my sister, Maricar, President of Batch ’88!  What a wonderful Velada!!! My sister has been working so hard for the past years and especially for the last four months before Velada.  I am truly proud of her and her whole batch!!  It’s all worth it right?  CONGRATS BATCH ’88!!!

I loved the costumes, the dances and the way it was executed, so elegant and so meaningful!!!!  Congratulations to my sister in law, Keena Tanseco de Jesus, and all the other batchmates of Maricar – Isabel Cacho, Gia Zosa Narciso, Babylyn Tiangco, Angela Lopez, Julie Carceller, Bubu Antonio Andres, Aina Zulueta Valencia, Fia Ojeda Llije, Yvette Rodriguez, Marga Santos Lorenzana, Guia Santos, Missy Sanares Reyes, Katrina Alunan Gonzales, Marissa Salonga Tiokno, Ditas Cruz German, Ann Arcenas, Caren Grey, Mary Fae Rodriguez Garcia, Jessica Guevarra Everingham, Vanessa Figueroa and Omi Gozon !

The other batches did so well too!!!!  It seems like everyone really put much effort into their presentations and there are more and more people joining!!  Good sign!  CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!!!  Diamond – Tita Marivic Concepcion.  GOLD – Tita Nedy Tantoco, Tita Odette, Tita Rosa Zamora Zulueta, Tita Linda Lagdameo and Tita Malyn Santos.  EMERALD – Tita Linda Tiangco.  JADE – Dina Campos, Marlu Balmaceda and Cynthia Menchaka.  PEARL –  Tita Tess Tantoco Enriquez, Crickette Yu Tantoco, Aggie Gayoso Artadi,  Bea Lopez Puno and Tessa Mendoza Daza.

I watched all of you with a big smile on my face!!! I LOVE VELADA!!! 🙂

I tried to take photos and videos at the same time but had a hard time! So please bear with me! I am putting up the videos I took from the 2nd floor!  I am sorry if I was not able to take all the dances.

I am sure many are waiting to see them.  Sorry if it is shaky or gets dark at times. Long story on the videos, it was shaky because I was trying to get an angle to make it bright and for the dark ones I had to have youtube enhance them to be brighter but it sacrificed the clarity a bit.   I will change them to the professional ones if I ever get a hold of them 🙂  If you want to watch full screen, go directly to youtube and click on HD and click on that box on the bottom right for full screen viewing! If full screen make sure you choose HD or else it won’t be clear! ENJOY!! 🙂

youtube-settings.jpg

This is day 2 – I went back to take videos of those I missed the first night.  I thought I had a great idea to let my camera rest on the ledge and realized all my videos were dark!! OH NO!!  Anyway putting it here for those who want to see a centered video.
