I went to the BGC Passionfest a few weeks ago and discovered this! Yummy ensaymada!!!
But this was the most unique! Greek ensaymada made with Greek Epirus butter ( from goat and sheep milk ) and Greek kefalotyry hard cheese ( fr cows milk )

So many ensaimadas around, and many of these are not bad, but for me, THE ONE ensaimada that IS REALLy good, in terms of taste, softness, and richness in indulgence (you can really taste THAT butter and the queso de bola) is Chona Ayson’s Classic ensaimada (the Greek’s okay, tastes – for me – very similar to the classic)!
Teddy I agree I like the Classic ensaymada!!! I just find the Greek ensaymada a unique offering and maybe nice to have once in awhile for a change 🙂
