One day I went home and Chef Javs let me try this Roast Pork belly. It was so good!
He told me that he bought it in Rustan’s San Antonio Plaza, Forbes Park! So I went to check it out and here it is!! It is being roasted in this oven
I wanted to see it so they opened the door 🙂
They put it on a plate so I could take a photo! Only P 279.00 a piece!!!

Heart2Heart is so happy to be back at Spices 🙂
Love the orchids surrounding the fountain
Artwork on display – Ang Kiukok 1977
Thanks to the birthday celebrants for treating us for lunch 🙂 Luzanne and Des
Aha! So this is the secret why we are eating here 🙂 We got 50% off the whole bill because Des had a Peninsula card! Contact Grace Saludega tel # 581-3355 or 812-3456 if you would like to apply for this card. Please mention my friend, Des Torres. She gets a free halo halo at the lobby for every referral 🙂
Everyone enjoyed the Thai food 🙂 Hotel quality food at half the price! How can you beat that?
Whenever i come back here, i will always order this. This is the only restaurant that has this dish and I love it! 🙂
The BFFs, the Beautiful Friends Forever 🙂
I am always checking on what they are wearing and using. It was an unwritten rule in Rustan’s that my Lola required us to patronise and promote Rustan’s products. So I was amazed that until now even if most of us do not work in Rustan’s anymore, we still buy from the Rustan Group
Both Det and Lucille using Prada bags
Luzanne was wearing Debenhams but we thought it was Gucci 🙂 Good find Luzanne! She’s always in good taste

Another recommendation from our friends, Randy and Candy. A new Korean restaurant at the Forum. It’s right beside Sarsa
The owner was there 🙂 Who apparently has many restaurants in Korea
I like the place because it is new :-), it’s clean, its modern
Pa Jeon which they serve on a pan and placed on the cooker on your table so it stays hot
Geranjjim – Steamed egg – The kids ordered it because every table had it and they were mostly Koreans 🙂 It’s just steamed egg, but it was good 🙂
Teokk bokki – also served in a pan and placed on the table
Vegetables to wrap the barbecue
Enoki Mushroom Rolled on bacon
Pork belly slice – Bacon 🙂
This is one of the reasons I came here. Randy mentioned this to me and I told him that this part is called the rib cap like our Bryan Flannery Rib cap

My friend, Mig, is the doctor of the stars! 🙂 When David Foster came to Manila, mig did some treatment for him. After which David Foster contacted him and flew him over to the States to do a follow up treatment. Cool!!!
After his treatment, David asked Mig if he could stop by the house of his friend, Barbra! 🙂
We are so lucky Mig is just here and we can avail of his healing powers immediately.
Mig used to have a small space in his Aunt’s house before

but now he has regular hours in St. Lukes Global City
And now he also has a few hours in the new Wellness Center in Manila Polo Club which is overlooking the badminton courts
Here he is 🙂 His hours are from 9am to 12 noon on Wednesdays. Mig offers Myotherapy while there are other doctors for the other services

I am so happy to finally have a meal by Chef Dino Guingona!! We have been planning this for years! 🙂 It was worth the wait! He’s not only a great chef, but he is also a great photographer. Maybe one day we can feature that too 🙂
Chef Dino is now the Executive Chef for Brasserie La Boheme. He started out as a consultant which involves updating and standardising the menu, training the staff and just updating the restaurant overall. He does this for a few restaurants and I keep telling him that he should just open his own restaurant 🙂 But for now, he is very busy with his culinary school, Moderne Culinaire Academy and the restaurants he is consulting for. He told me that his passion is in teaching so for now that is what he is focusing on
The last time I was there was in 2010 so it has been 4 years! And wow, the menu has changed a lot. It was good back then and now the menu is even more extensive
Brasserie La Boheme at the Picasso January 31, 2010
They still have the prix fixe menu
And wow, this poster right in front is irresistible. How can you not come in and try the food here? 🙂 I still have to try this though, a good reason to come back!
Then Dino introduced me to his Head Chef, Chef Michael Gemperle Figdor, who is apparently the cousin of a friend Stella Gemperle Aguila. He grew up in Singapore and worked in Ireland in Gordon Ramsay at Powerscourt and in Hungary at the Bistro by the Lake and at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort in Florida
As soon as we arrived we had two slushes – Sweet corn with cinnamon
And calamansi basil! YUM!!! So refreshing and so good. Even if you are just in the area by the Salcedo Market stop by here to try these refreshing drinks!
Wow! I have never eaten a bone marrow this way!!!
There is a page in the menu called the House of Bone Marrow. You can order is plain or you can choose toppings for an additional P 35.00 only!
We tried the Balsamic Caviar
And the onion marmalade – Both were delicious!! And the sidings – the grilled wagyu on cognac scented cream and shiitake cheddar crisps were great accompaniments aside from the baked baguette
Wasabi Parmesan crisps
Puttanesca
Adobo flakes
Salad Mesclun with foie gras
Chef Michael’s Steak D’Oro! One of his Signature dishes! YUM!!!
Swiss roll with kiwi marmalade
There’s so many other things on the menu, so many choices!!
We also met John who manages the Picasso hotel. He is part of the Hospitality International Inc group that also manages other hotels including the The Henry in Cebu which I have heard a lot about. The Picasso boutique hotel is not the number 4 rated hotel in trip advisor after the other 5 star hotels in the city. So they must be doing a great job 🙂
