The Conran Shop

By | Homes and Interiors, Shopping, Travel | No Comments

My friend, Ria, took me around to different home stores in the city.  One of them was the Conran Shop which I thought was American since I see these stores in the States but apparently it is British, though they have the most stores in Japan

We went to their main store in Marylebone and photos are not allowed so I had to sneak these photos so bear with me

They had a restaurant inside the store called Conran Kitchen! Love!  We did not eat here but just love the design of the place

Timothy Oulton

By | Design, Homes and Interiors, Travel | No Comments

We were window shopping in Harrods in different departments and James sends me a photo of this lighting fixture which he knows I like!!  So I went to where he was to take a look

timothy-oulton3.jpeg

Then I saw more things which looked very familiar to me!!  I liked the style

timothy-oulton16.jpeg

Apparently the designer is Timothy Oulton who is one of the artisans of the store Restoration Hardware which I love in the States!!  So it is a British designer behind many of the beautiful things at Restoration!

That was the bed section and we asked where the furniture was and so we went to the furniture section!  NICE!!!

Love the column made out of books

timothy-oulton4.jpeg

Love how they put the British flag and the flag colours on the design!  Can we have our local designers do this for the Philippines? 🙂

Loved this wall which was behind the cash register!! It’s a collection of different blue and white antique plates taken from different flea markets and put together here on the wall! It’s for sale at Timothy Oulton

Patisseries in London

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

There’s window shopping and there’s window eating!:-)  My friend Leah and I invented that term.  It’s impossible to eat everything you see and  maybe it’s not as fun to window eat than to actually eat but in the long run, it could do much more for you 🙂  Anyway Window anything is so much fun!  I do a lot of it.

While walking, Ria and I saw this Patisserie which called my attention immediately because it was PINK! 🙂  It’s from France and is new around the block.  La Patisserie Des Reves

I love the display!!!

Ria was eyeing the Saint Honore 🙂

I saw a lot of this around London!  Though it sounds French it actually originated in London by a French lady 🙂  They are known for their custom cakes

Cath Kidston

When I go to a certain country, I like to see stores that are from that country!  With so many nice things to see in London, I had to narrow down my choices to where to go and just focus on British brands!! This is one of the shops I LOVE!!  (Though I heard there are a lot of fakes being sold in the tiangges here in the Philippines.) I just love window shopping and admiring how people come up with such great and creative ideas to put together things in a store!!

Pret a Portea at The Caramel Room Berkeley Hotel London

By | Accomodations, Foodie, Travel | No Comments

In the Berkely hotel there is also the Caramel Room where they are known for their high tea and this is where we dined that afternoon

This is the best high tea Heart2heart has ever had in her life!

Aside from the usual high tea tradition of tea and scones, there was a theme to this

 A Fashionistas Afternoon Tea!!!

I had the most unique tea I have ever tasted – Well Being Fruit Infusion:  Funky Fruits, Posh pomelo and Melon.  They served the cup with the fruits and then poured the hot water on it – it was a sweet tea which I really enjoyed 🙂

Everything on the tray had an inspiration.  And they just did not look pretty but they tasted good too

We ordered scones on the side as an addition and it was so good!

I saw the other ladies taking out some of their leftovers so I made sure I took some home too so I could have the cute bag box 🙂

Berkeley Hotel London

By | Accomodations, Foodie, Travel | No Comments

Suharto and Rina took us to the Berkely Hotel in Knightsbridge

the-berkeley-knightsbridge-luxury-5-star-hotel-in-london-20140616.jpg

Toured us to the Blue Bar designed by David Collins.  This exclusive London bar is famed for its imaginative cocktails and extensive list of vintage champagne

As we were walking around, we saw this nice platter about to be served to one of the guests in the Blue bar

In the Berkely are two good restaurants Koffman’s and Marcus Waering
