Our first actual stop where we went down from the jeepney was Fort Santiago. It’s a beautiful place. I wish we could do more things to liven up this place. The only tour inside is the Museum of Jose Rizal. The other tour just shows remnants of World War II which is quite sad. I fear that if we tour Japanese and Americans here it would not be so nice to tell them – “This was where the Japanese imprisoned the Americans.” It feels bad enough that not many good memories were left in this place, so they should turn it into a happy place now in the future.
I wish they would just give a brief explanation as to what the place was and talk about more positive things. Or Just take them to the Museum and walk around the place. Maybe have a nice cafe where they can sit and enjoy the place since there are very few historical sites in our city. Maybe have some cultural shows and have nice quaint shops selling Philippine products and antiques

There are some shops here which use to be prison cells – It would be nice to expand this and maybe upgrade the shops so more people will come and shop
I was with Americans while doing the tour and I felt so akward when they had to hear all the horror stories of American being imprisoned

I treated some foreign friends to a city tour of Manila and I contacted this company which I researched over the internet. I sent them without trying it out myself first, so I wanted to see how it was and this is how it went They picked us up in Ascott hotel in Glorietta.
I love the JEEPNEY!! We should have more of these around the city!! This company owns three
It’s air-conditioned and is very decent but of course it runs like a jeep with the shake, rattle and rolls
They have videoke for those who like to sing not me
Signed by Jessica Sanchez who rode this Jeepney Apparently you can rent this jeepney for private functions or tours. They have 3 of these going around the city. Private individuals and Government officials hire the jeepneys to entertain foreign guests.
I took the half day Intramuros Tour.

Pia’s brother in law, Popoy, prepared 8 flavours of Gourmet ice cream! He even built an ice cream cart for the occasion! He calls it Happy Creamery and he told me that he has experimented and concocted 30 flavours already and he just brings it to the family gatherings. I heard he will be offering this soon to the public!
For the celebration, he had coffee with dark chocolate, Strawberry Manchego cheesecake, Honey Lavender, Vanilla for the kids, Creme Brûlée, Green Tea with dark chocolate, Chocolate truffle and Butterscotch pecan

I am so happy to see my batch mate, Karla Siopongco-Campos and dine at her place called Dell’s!
The last time was 4 1/2 years ago.

And I remember I featured her in my website and she had 11 locations. Four and a half years after, she now has 22! Doubled just like that! I am so happy for her. Dell is the Mom of Karla and when she was in high school her Mom was running 20 cafeterias and she would even pull out Karla from school when she needed an extra hand in the business. So at an early age, Karla was already exposed to the cafeteria industry. It was only when her Mom was not physically well that she was sent back from the States to come to the Philippines and her mission was to close the business. So from twenty locations, she was left with one. And from that one, she bought the business from her Mom and then now grew it to 22! WOW! Congrats and more power to Dell’s and to my friend!!
We went to the Bonifacio Global City branch and she renovated it from the last time we were here which was four years ago

We started at 1030am so we would beat the crowd and true enough at 12 noon the line was already long and we left to make room for the customers
