Nobu Hotel and Nobu Chef’s Table Opening this December

By | Foodie | No Comments

City of Dreams will soon be opening and will be located in the Entertainment city and will encompass 6.2 hectares of space.  It will be a whole experience which will include accommodations, gaming, dining and shopping.  There will be three hotels  – Nobu, Hyatt and Crown Regency

Nobu Hotel Manila will be the second branch after the first one which opened a year ago in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.  Inspired by the world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa and his dazzling array of hip, modern restaurants throughout the world, Nobu Hotel City of Dreams Manila is the first in Asia, which brings a trend-setting, boutique hotel experience. Championed by Academy award-winning actor Robert De Niro and Hollywood producer Meir Teper, the hotel’s 321 rooms will deliver a celebrity-inspired, “fun-luxury” experience to its guests.

Nobu is a family favorite and we are definitely looking forward to the opening of Nobu Hotel and Nobu Chef’s Table.  I have tried three Nobu’s including Nobu New York which was many years ago.  I was not blogging yet at the time, so only the other two are documented.  It’s always an experience to remember. We don’t need to go too far anymore to have this experience!!

Yesterday several of the Nobu Hotel team gave us a preview of things to come at Nobu Chef’s TableNobu Hotel Manila team Chef Zach Hillbery will be the Executive Chef at Nobu.  He and his team prepared a wonderful lunch with nine dishes.  In all those nine dishes not one flavor was the same and that is what Nobu is all about.  Aside from the unique flavors of each dish, there is a nice feeling of not feeling heavy after the meal.  That is a very Japanese trait which many will benefit from.  Not having the heavy feeling after meal just means it was a healthy meal 🙂Chef Hillberry nobu Manila Executive Chef Chef Hillberry exec chef nobu manila about vGm2hlYqO-YFKwgi3x2JOfEvkLY0G5DujUhVTItK3PAK6No1kdEk3v7naICP9bDZ1FoKMuay2TD4X7vzty2z6o Nobu Manila menu preview Nobu Manila flowers

So many things to do in Boracay!!Banana Boat and Zorb Park in Boracay (1)

We actually did the Banana Boat for the kids 🙂  I rode the speedboat pulling the banana boat so I could take the video and photos of the kids.  Best to have goggles so the salt water does not go into your eye – look at Javier covering his eyes while Mio with goggles was very okay 🙂 Banana Boat and Zorb Park in Boracay (2)

The boatmen are so good they know – we got to the end of the island, positioned the banana boat and let me take photo haha!!Banana Boat and Zorb Park in Boracay (1)

Tell your kids not to get down in the water because it does not look too clean- the water is green.  Best to just get out on the side of the pool
