Happy 20th Anniversary to the LOVE OF MY LIFE. We met when we were 16 years old and in 4th year high school. We dated for 8 years before we got married for a total of 28 years together. ( More than half our lives! ) I knew when I met James that he was the guy I would want to marry. Everyday I thank the Lord for this blessing. He provides very well and always makes sure that we have everything we need and will try to always give us the best. We would not know what to do without him. I love him because there’s never a dull moment with him, he is funny and has a good sense of humour. He makes me laugh everyday. He always has a positive attitude for everything, he never makes a bad situation worse, he always knows how to handle the situation and even turn it into a good one. ( In other words, magaleng magbola! 🙂 ) Which is why my life has always been a happy one. The Bible says that after God, the next most important person is your spouse. I’m so lucky He gave me the BEST one. I don’t need anything because I have everything . God blessed me with a good husband who loves me and takes care of me and my two sons. Looking forward to the rest of our lives ( photo by Fritz Tentativa)
There was a time when I told James to stop giving me flowers to just save and that it’s not necessary anymore during occasions. We eventually stopped giving gifts to each other on occasions. When Mom found out about this, she pulled me aside and told me that we should never stop gifting each other on occasions. No matter what we should give each other a gift even if it’s small Sometimes Mom gives me advice but doesn’t explain why but then I just follow her. She will just say – Basta just don’t ever stop giving each other gifts So here’s my anniversary gift and yes it’s small. And yes, my Mom always gives good advice
Thank you to Marian Balcos for sharing this article with Heart2Heart – Taken from the blog of Rica Parelejo and which has a similar concept on gifting spouses
