Last Thursday I was sitting with my Lolo and out of the blue, he just uttered this quote to me. He was referring to the recent passing away of my Lola. My Lolo knows a lot of quotes and he also has his own personal quotes. I wrote it down and then I researched and it is a verse from Genesis 3:19 from the bible

On Ash Wednesday, as the priest marks one’s forehead with ashes, he says, “Remember man that thou art dust and unto dust thou shalt return.” Ashes on one;s forehead used to be a sign of penance or repentance…hence the need to repent for our sins, especially during the start of Lent, for we are really nothing before the Almighty God…we are dust.
