The highlight of Yangon is the Shwedagon Pagoda which you can see from any part of the city.

There is an attire/dress code for temples in Myanmar and here they were most strict when it came to wearing the right length of skirt and the wearing of shorts.  They will lend you a sarong to wear in case you are not dressed correctlyShwe Dagon Yangon (2)
